Fender Rumble Club

I bought a boutique 12" cabinet & a small tube amp, A/B'd it to my Rumble & TBH I wasn't missing anything.
However, side-by-side with a Bassman 100T (all-tube), there is a difference. Whether that difference is worth over $1K is up to the end user.

Exactly! The small differences from my R500c that I can hear, and the extra features and differences I can see, make the Bassman 500 worth it to me. But only because I can afford both! They each have advantages over the other.

How 'bout this, @Killed_by_Death? The "T" is for Tubes.

NOT an actual product!

I've thought about the BTB's as well, I'd really need to try one though.

BTBs are good, but they are generally heavier than the SR series.
They've got thicker & wider necks, almost P-bass size.

However, if you're going for a 5-string, BTB is the way to go IMHO, 35" scale, while the SR models remain 34" scale.

I’m glad you found something that works for you - Happy NAD! What I don’t understand, though, is why you would post it here. If you don’t want a Rumble in your life, that’s fine - many don’t. But why would you suppose that members of this club would be interested in what you got instead?

Please don't miss understanding, I own fender rumble V1 100/210, V2 75/120, V3 200/150 100/120 in past.They are nice. I never said that I don't love or hate Rumble.
I thought as a Pre-rumble owner still can share something at this old place without single motive.
Apologies if my sharing bring to you guys a troble.

Happy to see you guys still enjoy with my PS job.
Happy Rumble Day!!!!

After I return the problem Rumble v3 100 combo to GC and exchange with Squier Fretless Pbass, I decide get the 200/150 combo again.
But, since I back to GC yesterday and have a try with Ampeg micro SVT and Tech21 VT combo....... I check out with this. I passed the Fender Rumble v3 once again.

Yahboy has been, and maybe still is, a long time Rumble Club member. He may recognize some of his artwork I just reposted on this page!

He has posted many times about his flirtations with other amps, often returning to the Rumble fold. I, for one, don't mind reading about his quests for tone and, especially in other threads, his defense of the oft maligned Rumble.

Example: What to choose; combo or cheap stack?

My 2¢

I generally use “Fender shaped objects” but I really like some of the SR basses. My next acquisition will probably be an SR in some fancy pants wood combination.

Tonight I take the Rumble 500 head and 2x 210v3 cabs on their maiden voyage of rehearsal. I've been holding off and using my new GK MB212II for the rehearsals and last gig. But the room set up, the GK is just pushing sound into the back of my knees. The rest of band hears me just fine, but all I hear is boom notes. Hoping the 210 vertical stack will put some full range in my ear.
You may want to try a Mud Stand for bass amps ($79) with your GK.

Mud Stand for Bass Amps

I'd use an Auralex GRAMMA v2 for the Rumble stack (I have one; noticeable sonic improvement). That said, I still want to pick up a Mud Stand for just the situation you describe (200 combo only).

Fair enough - I may have been a little hasty. Sorry about that. It still seems a little more appropriate in the general Amps & Cabs forum to me, but I have no wish to be a curmudgeon. Carry on. :)

Look for pre-owned SR1400TE, neck-thru:

Wow, that's a good looking bass!

Also I didn't realize the BTBs were 35" scale. I want to try them even more now. That said I'm still very very early in the decision process and because I'm considering dropping a large sum of money on one I want to be sure it's staying with me for a long, long time.

What's nice though is 2019 should be a debt free year for me, so I can actually consider used instruments again!:hyper::bassist:

And "worst" case scenario I just pour more money into my Fender-shaped objects and keep drooling over pretty basses online.

;) No problem! My first reaction was the same as yours, until I recognized the author.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with being a curmudgeon. They're welcomed here:
Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

Uh, ahem, . . . OK, now, back on topic:

No matter how much many of us wish it were so, this has still not been announced as being anywhere in the plans, or even on the radar, to become an actual product.

This is NOT an actual product!
Since fender 'supposedly' reads this thread, perhaps a hint or two???

Fender makes a hybrid guitar amp with effects built-in. That would be cool for bass players, too:

Yeah! Plug that into a Rumble 115 cab and Rumble On! for totally tubey modeling tones!!! Then, just line out to the FX Return of your trusty Rumble 500 for plenty of big stage volume!
