No. ALL tone and volume are controlled by amp 1/A. The Fender Wiki page explains it clearer-er

1. Yes and no. You're going through the power section but not the pre-amp. Essentially 2 100W amps with the same tone etc. outta each. 2. Yes-and thanks for getting it

I wouldnt really mind not having the seperate controls, im just seeing if theres a cheaper alternative to buying a 200! I think though with the cost of a (good) splitter, i might just as well bite the bullet and do it.

Not even sure why transparency would be any good. I love the Rumble sound. Especially with the new series. Extremely flexible. Vast array of sounds.
It has been mentioned by Linnin in the past that the Rumble is the most transparent amp on the market, which is false.
If you try a Y-Splitter & get noise, you can either go the Send > Return route or shell out for a Radial Engineering BigShot ABY, which has ground lift & a isolation transformer:

Of course, both the 100 & 200c have line out so with FOH, yer good either way. We almost never go through the PA so I'm kinda glad I got the 200c but with the lighter weight of the 100, and the fact that I'd rarely need 2, it woulda been a nice option to have. Remember too, you only get the full 200W outta the 200c with an extension spkr. It's 140W by itself-which is more than enough for what I do. With 2-100s A-B,you potentially have 100W outta each amp. I've never had my 200c past 2 o'clock on the volume(OK, once here at the house-dayum!), so you don't hafta to 'dime' it.
It's the import duty that kills ya.
I've got a BigShot right here on top of my Rumble, for when I want to feed my signal to two devices. Previously I was using a Y-splitter like in the photo above, but it was noisy.
Sometimes you get lucky & there's no noise, just depends on what two devices you're connecting.

Yeah, i figure one more 100 is cheaper than a 200 AND extension cab (to get the full 200) BUT, i do wonder if the 200 on its own would be enough. Might be nice to have a 15.....
Just remember that the 200 on its own is less than 200 Watts output. It needs an extension to get the full 200 Watts.
Don't get me wrong. I love the 200c, I just wish I'd known the other option. I prolly still woulda gone with the 200. I'm old school-or just old-and I love the depth available with the 15". When I add the 112 cab it(a)puts the 200 up higher where I can hear the 15" and(2)*really warms(?) the tone out front. To my somewhat unreliable ears anyway.

Out of curiosity, what does the graph look like when bypassing the preamp (into the return)?
That would depend entirely on what's feeding it.

Yes, the power amp will amplify what is going in, but the speakers affect what is coming out.
What did you use to feed the preamp when testing? I thought maybe a Minirator or something similar, but that was just an assumption, I guess I should have asked that question first.

IIRC he wasn't measuring at the speaker, but from the output of the power amp.

I would be curious to see the colour of the sound both from the preamp and from the speakers. Maybe one day I will get around to taking mine to work and measuring it.
Not that it makes the slightest bit of difference to anything, as you either like what the Rumble can do or you don't. Personally I am happy with what it gives me (although I do have clean alternatives for when I need them).

I’ve been busy lately and haven’t had a chance to post some thoughts about my Rumble rig.
I was going to until I had another Rumble adventure:
I got caught off guard with an open mic last night and didn’t have time to get my amp from home.
Luckily, this is what they had:
It sounded great!
Is this a v2 Rumble im guessing?
