That would be nice. It would tempt me to sell my Combo 200 and buy a second 1-15 Cab

No, that's the full retail price. Nothing special. Not sure if it’s just short term, but the studio 40 is available for $349.99 on Amazon

Other sites are listing them at 399.99.
And so it is: $399.99 Once again high sales demand affords Fender pricing power. Just as FMIC raised the price of the Rumble 500 & 200 combos so we see more of the same.Other sites are listing them at 399.99.

I don't like compressors as they rob you of subtle dynamics. However if you're just banging it out like no tomorrow, and have no dynamics to worry about just put your compressor between your bass and amp. If you're slap happy, you need a compressor as your signal peaks are all over the place. If you are fortunate enough to have an all tube amp, you have all the natural tube compression you need. Just play.Yo yo yo my homies - I'm sure a compressor will work in front of the amp as well as in the effects loop but is there a generally preferred spot to put it in? I'd try it myself but at the moment I don't have a compressor.
I agree Linnin and that's why I don't currently have a compressor - I normally don't use one. But the church group I'm playing with is going to benefit from some slap here and there so that's why I'm looking into this. When it comes to compression, don't cheap it out. Good ones are damned expensive. I much prefer Pentecostal congregations where the all tube Fender amps sing in tongues.I agree Linnin and that's why I don't currently have a compressor - I normally don't use one. Does it come in redI guess my favorite compressor is the Fender Super Bassman. It is a bit spendy at $1700, but it is a good one. Better than most compressors as it has 300 all tube watts built in, and a pretty spiffy overdrive to boot. Not too shabby.
