Fender Rumble Club

Thank you! I was lurking for months. Actually I'm just a beginner and was apprehensive about chiming in. I've learned the TalkBass community could not be more supportive. It's awesome to see so many people that have been on here for 5, 10, or even 15 years. :) Thanks everyone.
Yes - welcome and I'm glad you're here! I wouldn't worry about your (current) skill level - playing bass isn't a contest.

And, like Adam Clayton once said, "I'm not the best bass player in the world. Heck, I'm not even the best bass player in THIS BAND. But, I am the bass player"...

Hey guys, had a great Rumble experience the other day (actually a couple times!)
Recently I have played through a V1 Rumble 100 a few different times, and MAN that thing is a BEAST! Just at the lowest volume knobs points, it is already super loud, probably what my v3 100 would be at half- almost full volume!
It's punchy, bassy, and clear, with none of the boom I get from my current v3 100!

... But it looks almost TWICE the size as the current rumble 100, it's MASSIVE!!! I am very much led to believe the differences are in speaker size. What speaker is in it (the V1??) How many watts is this amp really?
I'm a little confused! Anyone else notice this.

Oh..oh...oh! Can I join too? My first setup was a Rumble 25 back in December. It has been fantastic to learn on! Here's a snapshot of the current hardware. I got the TC gear last week.

The Rumble V1 100 had/has a 15" speaker and was/is 100 watts. See pix on the Rumble Wiki page.

This and the Tbird Club are both great places to hang. Get yourself a bird and join over there too.

Just bought a Fender Rumble 40 today to add to my Fender Rumble collection:

Rumble 200 Combo
Rumble 200 Head
Rumble 112 Cabinet
Rumble 40

Sam Ash Music in Clearwater, Florida has a brand new floor model Fender Rumble Version 3 112 Cabinet in stock.

Sam Ash Music
923 McMullen Booth Road
Clearwater, Florida 33759
(727) 725-8062
I can tell you how to upgrade that 40 with new 10inch,crossover and tweeter and have external cab out too if interested.

Thank you! In my other life, I am a marathon runner.
Happy to be part of the Rumble Club! What a great group.
Ryan. Prefontaine. Shorter. Moore. Scott. Rodgers. Salazar. Great runners from when running was as much a passion for me as music. Sadly, the body isn’t what it once was. Seeing a pic of Pre (God rest his soul) made me smile with memories. You doing Boston?

I'll be joining the club this weekend; I've got a pair of Rumble 115 cabs on their way.

Quick question: it looks like the cabs each have one speakon and one 1/4" jack. Is that right or is the speakon jack one of those dual-purpose thingies? My head only has a single 1/4" out. Can someone confirm these cabs are ok to daisy chain? (I think this means being wired in parallel, right?)

Yes, the input jacks are wired in parallel, so you can daisy chain them. I never checked the speakons on my Neo 115s, I have no idea if they are combo units. So it looks like you will need a 1/4 to 1/4 speaker cable and a Speakon to Speakon. Or you could get 2 1/4 to Speakon cables. What head will you be using?

V1 100 is a LOT taller than the v3 r100, right?

What 1x15 speaker is in the V1? Is the volume difference between the v1 and v3 result in the larger speaker in the v1? Because both are apparently 100w...

Are the 1x15 in the current v3 rumbles (200 combo, 115 cab) any better than the V1 speaker?
