Fender Rumble Club

Yes, the input jacks are wired in parallel, so you can daisy chain them. I never checked the speakons on my Neo 115s, I have no idea if they are combo units. So it looks like you will need a 1/4 to 1/4 speaker cable and a Speakon to Speakon. Or you could get 2 1/4 to Speakon cables. What head will you be using?
Thanks, I think that's right. I'm in the market for a Bassman 500, but in the meantime I'll be using a Hartke 3500.

What is the v3 115 cab rated at 8ohms?
300w RMS at 8 ohms.

Is it a bad idea to use a r500 head (350w@8ohms) with the r115 cab (300w@8ohms) ?

Has anyone used them together?

If I use a 200 head with the 115 cab, how many watts is it then... 200w or 300w???

Can someone help me understand...
Short answer is: it’s fine to put 350w into a cab rated for 300w. You just can’t crank it all the way. You should be able to hear the speakers straining if you push them too hard.

Not sure if I understand the second question. The cabinet “isn’t” a wattage, it “is rated for” a wattage. It receives, not gives. So the cab is always rated for 300w, no matter what head you’re using.

Happy Fender π Day, 3/14!

Looking at a used and custom built extension speaker cab and need input.
It started as a Hartke 210 TP, guy talked to Eminence and they helped him modify the cab with bracing and fill since it is sealed, he put in 2 Eminence Legend BP-102-4 speakers in. Now rated at 400w, rated and measured freq response down to 35 hz.
Should I drive the 2 hours one way to check this out for under $200? Seems like it may be a good match for my Stage 800. Are the Eminence speakers the same as those in my 800?

I had a Rumble 500 head with a 115 and a 410 cabinet. It worked fine. You can use the 115 alone without cranking it up and it will sound great. Better than the 115 with the 410. The 200 combo with the 115 sounds as close to perfect as possible to my ears. It's also pretty tough to hear a difference in volume between the 200c and the 500h. That's the reason I sold my 500 head but kept the 200c with the 115.

The 200c with the 115(8ohms) gives you a maximum of 200 watts. The cabinet alone is, I believe, 125 watts.

Pull a speaker to find out.

Could be a winner! Could be a disappointment. Only a two hour drive, each way, with your Stage & bass, can tell if it's worth it.

Almost certainly not the same speakers as in the Stage, but possibly very comparable, if not better! But the cabinet implementation will make, or break, the tone they give.

Be sure to check the impedance
, so you can set the Stage's impedance switch appropriately. Yeah, "he says it's _ ohms" but is he gonna fix your amp if he's actually wrong?

Play & listen, for a long time with many different models, at high volumes, too (yeah, take ear plugs, several pair, some for everyone) to be sure they can take what the Stage dishes out. Make sure the cab is in phase with your Stage, by watching the movement of the cones to see if in sync. Homemade cabs have no company backing, so it's up to the buyer to do the due diligence testing. If the seller isn't OK with that, then it's a BIG gamble to buy it untested. Get that agreement before making the drive.

Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

Seller is ok with a test play and actually was a great guy to talk to on the phone. I can't remember which cabinet building software he used to make the calculations regarding mods, plus input from Eminence, sounds like a well thought out plan. I believe I will take the drive over and see it for myself.
The speakers he put in are BP-102-4. When I look those up they look very capable in specs and reviews.
I won't be able to get there until next week. Hopefully it doesn't sell before that. But if it does I won't be heartbroken.

The R200c alone is 140 watts. The 115 cab alone is 0 watts, but can take 300 watts. :smug:

Man, I'm glad you posted that. If a 115 is 0 watts I'm lucky I didn't get one and saved the money:smug:;)

It's an oft overlooked axiom that extension cabs alone can't do anything to amplify your music. That's even true for the 112 in your dining room. A sad truth that I learned when Mrs. Dog bought me a Bassman 115 neo cab for Christmas one year and I didn't have an amp to easily drive it! (well, I coulda easily disconnected the internal speakers of my Bassman 150 and 250 combos, but why do that?)

So, before long I got a Rumble 500c, which could make easier use of the cab. But, HOLY GUACAMOLE(!) did that make it even louder than it was already loud! So, eventually, I just had to get a Bassman 500 head for the BM cab. Ah! Best o' both worlds, with ultimate flexibility.

Corrollary: Don't you just love those posts, like, "I just added a 500 watt cab to my 50 watt amp, so now I'm cranking out 550 watts, man!!! But, it don't seem all that loud. Wazzup?"?
