Cabinet placed directly on a hard wood floor can be quite boomy. Hence the need to dial back the bass frequencies. If you play that venue again, maybe try using a stand to lift the amp off the floor.View attachment 3407772
Just played a gig with my Rumble 100 tonight. I started the night with my EQ at 12, vintage on ("the usual.") I guess it was the room, BL kept asking me to cut the Bass. By halftime, it was at 0. It sounded a little strange to me, but BL and the audience were happy, so that's enough for me. I noted it sounded a little like my little Ampeg combo amp I sometimes use at rehearsal. Fun times!
Yes! I often use a wedge. Just plain didnt this time. I've been highly considering it. Any recommendations?Cabinet placed directly on a hard wood floor can be quite boomy. For the 22lb Rumble 100 I use one of these, it's all you need and is easy to keep in your bag..Yes! I often use a wedge. Just plain didnt this time. I've been highly considering it. Any recommendations?
Nice! "Fits in bag" is a BIG plus for me!For the 22lb Rumble 100 I use one of these, it's all you need and is easy to keep in your bag..

FWIW, I have these. I use whichever one fits the occasion(they 'live' in the van).Nice! "Fits in bag" is a BIG plus for me!
How do you like your Ampwedge?FWIW, I have these. I use whichever one fits the occasion(they 'live' in the van).

For most applications, it's fine-except hollow wood stages. Added bonus: it tilts the cab up toward your ears. How do you like your Ampwedge?
Our BL drives the Volvo, with the bulk of the gear. I fly solo; double gig bag, shoulder bag and Rumble. got it down to one trip- and I'd like to keep it that way!FWIW, I have these. I use whichever one fits the occasion(they 'live' in the van
The Ampwedge works best if your able to be more than 6'-8' in front of it. I'm usually right up against the amp so I also have this(MudStand):Our BL drives the Volvo, with the bulk of the gear. +1 Agreed! The Super Bassman modeling is astoundingly accurate, and to my ears is the most realistic of all the tube bass amp models. I tweaked my 01 preset to suit my ears and American Professional Precision. I also changed the cabinet emulation to the 215 JBL D140 vintage Bassman cab. Killer! In that same clean Fender signature tone; #08 V3 Rumble based 'Clean Focus', and #62 TV Bassman based 'Vintage Studio' are also very special.

Now that's going to be some serious SPL!Agree to all of this...just have to wait until my (sensitive hearing) wife is out of the house before I connect the Studio 40 to the Combo 200 and 1-15 Cab and let it rip....
Rumbles Rock!
I have the BA 108, but the v1. 25w I believe. I was an Ampeg man up until I joined my current band and the BL talked me into a Rumble!Cool!
Which Ampeg? I've got the BA-108. Really nice little practise amp. Love the wedge cut cab and the volume control on the AUX input!
Bought it before I got into Rumbles, so no one dis me, 'kay?

The Ultimate Support amp stand offers 3 angles of tilt back, and has an extendable attachment for a boom arm if you want to mic the amp. Saves on a mic stand. Works for me.FWIW, I have these. I use whichever one fits the occasion(they 'live' in the van).

Well, this is what I get for trying to be helpful... When pcake was wondering about the Rumble 40 (which she got and, apparently, likes a lot), I was sorta considering a replacement for this old thing:
a 30 year old Marshall Bass 12 that I bought in England. Still works fine, and still sounds good - with everything but my Alembic Epic. Which, frankly, has always sounded like ass through the old thing; which was why I didn't play it much. So, off to Sam Ash, to hear what a Rumble 40 sounded like... and maybe get one. It sounded pretty nice - and I said so in a reply to pcake's post. I also said that I was going to go back with my Alembic, and try a Rumble 500. So, about a week later, I did just that. And, while my wallet still thinks it was a big mistake, I don't. It took a while to get it through the store and back to the Amp section - apparently hardly anyone here has ever seen an Alembic bass - but, I finally got it plugged in... And, well, you can see the results. I got the combo amp and the 115 cab, too.. And, no, that isn't the Alembic. It's just the last bass I test played through the Rumble, before I figured I should have a picture. Got to have a picture before asking for a number...
Great rig! There are many, many people here on TB that swear by that combo of the 500 and the 115. Enjoy and Rumble on!!!View attachment 3409246 Well, this is what I get for trying to be helpful...
