Fender Rumble Club

The Hyundai Elantra, a car that can surprisingly fit a deluxe reverb, stage 800 and a p bass + bags of pedals all in the backseat!
The Ford Aerostar. 340K miles and can fit a shipload of stuff and 4 people.

not so sure how I'd feel about a club that'd have someone like me for a member :D

I need a new amp and I think it will be a *new* as in "not used" one. I'm not likely to be gigging with it and I'll probably soon be in a new place (read: apartment, not single family home like I am now). It will probably go to friends' houses to jam with mostly acoustic guitars. A light weight combo seems most suitable for my needs.

I checked out a Rumble 100 at GC last week. As of now it is a strong contender. At about 300 dollars any other candidates at that range?

I'd try to buy a little more amp than you need. Maybe you might gig with it after all? Not that it's bad to have multiple amps, but a used 200c is around that too if you don't absolutely need new. GC also offers extended warranties that are pretty reasonable if that's a worry too.

Has anyone done a foot switch mod for voicing modes on Rumble 500? ... ... I think the convenience of having the voicing foot switchable would be awesome.

I agree, that footswitchable voicing is awesome. I assume you mean adding the Vintage, Contour and Bright buttons' functions to the footswitch? That would, though, require some internal, warranty-voiding, PCB-modding that is technically beyond me, even if it might be a piece of cake to others here in TB.

Fortunately, there are some modules that can be placed between your bass and Rumble 500 that can do the job and more. This first module comes with built-in foot buttons and does somewhat more than the R500c buttons.

But my own personal choice of modules goes even farther with 100 built-in presets using different amps, cabs and effects that can be setup in multitudinous combinations to get almost any sound you can imagine. It even comes with a built-in 40 watt amp, 10" speaker and tweeter! Unfortunately it doesn't come with a footswitch, but the addition thereof is thoroughly convenient.

Hope this helps.
