Fender Rumble Club

At my home studio I have Audio Technica ATX-M40x (very accurate and flat response), ATX-M50x (somewhat enhanced bass response), and Beyer Dynamic DT 770 Pro 250 Ohm headphones. I tend to use the DT 770’s the most when recording, they’re the most $$. However definitely consider the ATX-M40x. The sound isn’t hyped and very accurate
Phil Jones Bass makes a good pair of headphones. AKG-240s are open-back, but the AKG-K553s are closed. I haven't needed anything more than these three.

I'm thinking the tweeter would be particularly useful when you're streaming full range audio.
Same here.

In the 200 combo, the tweeter can be set to OFF or -6dB. On the 115 cab, there'e a third setting for full ON.

I've been streaming Slacker's (now LiveXLive) Modern Blues channel through it (on the -6 dB setting) for a long time with no noticeable problems.

Is the stand a tiltback?:smug:
It's an old TV stand until I get a pile of extension cabs. Also left by the previous tenant though. Gotta love a freebie with proper dimensions. Swivels too so I can point it precisely at the drummer.

When I stream music through my Studio 40 using the speaker, the sound is not very good. If I plug in my headphones it gets much better. What's up with that?
Dead 9v in your active IPhone?

On the Rumble Studio 40, can you record the AUX IN signal with the looper? How about audio streamed via Bluetooth?

The Aux/BT signals are both summed at the master volume stage (or post master if configured as such). The looper is implemented just before the MV stage (and is included in USB/Post or L/R LINE OUT), so no this won’t work. Aux/BT signals only present in speaker or HP.

Last week, I picked up a used Rumble 1x15 cabinet, to go with my 500 v.3 head.
At home and at a gig, I was underwhelmed by the sound-- to me, it didn't quite have the guts of my GK 210RBH or Neo 112II or Neo 212II cabinets.
I am familiar with single 15 cabinets-- I use an Ampeg Rocketbass combo quite a bit (especially for quick tear-downs at multi-band shows with FOH support), and I used to play through Music Man 1x15 cabs and homemade 1x15 Thiele cabs.

Anyway
... after the gig, I got the most compliments I've gotten in recent memory.
As Kurt Vonnegut used to say, "And so it goes..." :smug:

How close to it were you? Mine[200c]sounds better 20'(longest cable)in front of it.

Makes sense. Some of the lower frequency waves are 20' long.

You sure you had the vintage switch on?
On a more serious note, is your GK stack closer to your ear level on stage? Might be part of the difference you're noticing, aside from a difference in general tone.

This. This. This.

Walk around and away from your cabinet and notice how the sound changes. I’ve had nights where I thought the same thing and been told everyone else could hear me well.

At least for me, hearing a good sound is super important to my playing so sometimes I have to experiment a bit.

It was on the floor, about 2 inches behind my legs. :D
Vintage and bright switches on, low mids at 11:00, the others at noon, no overdrive, gain and master at 9:00.
P-Bass with DR Pure Blues strings, 45-105, Hearos earplugs, a cheap 6-foot guitar cable and a Planet Waves strap. Black Converse hi-tops, a gray Corolla parked outside, and coffee for breakfast. :D

But you're sure you had the vintage switch on...
