Fender Rumble Club

I find it very useful at band practice!
I tested it out when I got the amp but I run the laptop to the power mixer tape in. Kind of a hassle unplugging the mixer from the power mixer to plug in the laptop but Megazoid only gets to live in my house for a couple more weeks before I get some good powered speakers and delegate it to the basement.

AKG K240 is great but I prefer Sennheiser HD280Pro. I had it for a couple of months and been using it when I make my mixes. I think this is one of the best studio headphones that you can get in less than $100

I like the K240s I own and have tried the HD280 (nearly bought them). On a lark and some good reviews I picked up these K240 clones and actually like them better than the AKGs...Made by Stellar Labs I got my set for about $28 shipped...I do really like them...Link Removed

Uhh, you did.;)

I was shopping headphones yesterday but didn't want to cut into my speaker budget yet lol. Thanks for the strangely relevant tips.

Any advice on an affordable set of closed-back phones too?
At my home studio I have Audio Technica ATX-M40x (very accurate and flat response), ATX-M50x (somewhat enhanced bass response), and Beyer Dynamic DT 770 Pro 250 Ohm headphones. I tend to use the DT 770’s the most when recording, they’re the most $$. However definitely consider the ATX-M40x. The sound isn’t hyped and very accurate

I found two pairs of junky phones in the basement from the previous tenant. It's obviously not the first time somebody has been trying to recording music in here. All the rest of the treats he'd left behind took a couple months to exterminate though...
I didn't buy an 800W amp to play with headphones! I already compromised and uncoupled it from the hardwood floors. I'm making my stand.

I have others in the house that enjoy my playing on a part-time basis. So for their sake, I use headphones once in awhile.

I have a stand for my Stage 800.... it's the matching 210 cabinet. Very nice "stand".

My wife once asked me why I had stopped practicing every night. I told her I had not quit, but I had gone to headphones so she didn't have to listen to it. She said she found it comforting and it helped her fall asleep.
My wife was perfect. she didn't mind me buying guns or gear, she didn't mind me being out of the house three or four nights a week, and she didn't mind the noise I make practicing. I sure do miss her.

That's a much better song than the sort I've been writing about Dixie.
Whatcha y'all think about this one?

Well I left my ol' lady and I started a band!
Wish I woulda done it 'fore she gave me the crabs!

I wanna rock! And roll... but this infestations gotten out of control!
I wanna rock... all night!
Doctor said he got a cream, gonna make it all right.
We're gonna rock!

That describes my first wife very well.
This was my second. She passed away a little over a year ago.
