Howdy Rumblers! I could use some feedback/guidance....
So I've been enjoying my 100c, but also been wanting to add a 200c for bigger gigs. I went down a store to test some things out. I tried a 500c and 200c. Right out of the gate the 500 really impressed me! Clean and clear, thick and rich, not at all bright and thin as I expected from the 2x10. The 200 OTOH, was a little muddy/boomy. Even playing with EQ and tweeter, it was still a little harder to tame. Plenty loud though!
Here's where I'm at:
200c: more affordable option. Which is important to me, but I also want to get the right amp.
Do the 200c owners have any tips for dialing in that clean, clear sound?
What kind of situations do you find the 200c is just not enough?
Also, anyone here daisy chain a 100+200?
500c: I really like the sound I got out of this today, and part of me is saying this is the answer. Also, if you look at $/Watts, the 500 is actually a better value! Plus, this seems like a "future proof" approach.
Before today, 500h + 115 was on the table, add a 2x10 later, but now I think if i went 500, it'll be a combo.
So, what's a guy to do?
TIA
