I have theAny Rumble cab you fancy will work well with the 200. They’ve all been engineered to work together, so you can mix and match with confidence.
In the time I’ve been here on TB, Rumbles (and other amps as well) have often been described as muddy, boomy, or both.
I find that the words «boomy» or «muddy» are difficult to pin down. It’s all relative, a little bit like the using the word «short» to describe a haircut. It can mean anything from a buzz cut to shoulder length, depending on who you ask. It all depends on what you’re looking for to begin with, your frame of reference and the rest of your gear.
I’ve spent a fair bit of cash on stuff I thought I needed (often based on the well-meaning advice of fellow TB members) without stopping to think that their needs and frame of reference might be different from my own.
So now I’m trying to make things as simple as possible. My Rumbles are stock, and so are my basses, except for strings. I haven’t used my pedal board in months, I just plug straight into the amp, and it sounds great. I find it makes my life a lot easier, and considerably cheaper. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
I agree. Every time I want to try something new I keep coming back to my 500c going into a Rumble 210 cab and that's it. I tried other amps and have so many pedals (including the HX Stomp) but tend to go tweak-crazy. To reset, I'll plug straight in and find myself just..........playing.
Welcome, anyway.
