Fender Rumble Club

First, set all controls flat, and turn off all voicings, and see if the problem goes away. If not, check your cable and all connections. Are you using an active bass? If you are, check your battery. If the problem persists and the distortion is showing up intermittently, I would contact a Fender authorized service center, and have them look at it. I’ve had a similar problem with my Rumble 40.
Could be the speaker also going out. Take and have it frequency tested. If bad replace it. I replaced the 10inch in my R40 with a Richter 10 from Seismic Audio. Three inch voice coil, aluminum frame and 200 watts for $69.

Question. I have a Fender Rumble 500c and the last two practices I have gotten some distortion that my guitarist describes as a "wet burrito fart." After checking my shorts I realized it was coming from my amp. First though was a bad chord but that didn't fix the issue (which is intermittent). I turned of the "Vintage" button and the amp sounded fine. I'm fairly new to this amp but could this be an issue with the module or do I have a setting wrong such as too much gain?
Hi Dennis, I think you'll want to read this inside information on the gain structure of the amp and experiment with your gain. Please let us know if it makes sense and whether you still think your issue is related to a malfunction--or simply a result of the Vintage button interacting with the Gain knob.

I asked this the other day...
Could anyone offer any thoughts?

Just wondering if anyone could offer a tonal comparison between the 500 v.3 head and the new 800 head. Mainly, does the extra headroom in the 800 make it significantly "cleaner" sounding?
I have a 500 v.3 head and love its "voice", but I'd like to get its big brother, for the pre/post EQ XLR out switch.
I suppose I have the difference between the GK 400RB and GK 1001RBII heads in mind. I have both, and usually prefer the 400RB for its sound. 1001RBII: massive volume and low end, but not as warm, fuzzy and (dare I say) cuddly as the 400RB.
Thanks!

Thanks, I'll have to check my gain setting. Our practice room isn't well lit in the corner they stick me so maybe that knob got moved. The amp is pretty new, only have had it a few months so I do hope it is user error rather than a malfunction.

Just bought a excellent condition Squire Short Scale Jaguar for $200.00. Should be a fun addition to my SG because I'll have that funky Fender sound now. Also, shop setup w/new strings. Yippies
Actually $159 + shipping.
Put a set of Wilde pickups in it. At less than $100 for the P and J you’ll have a sleeper ss that will amaze.

Do you have the exact model #'s? I saw a P and a J on their website at $80 each.
Wow. Sorry. I was going from memory from a few years ago. Didn’t realize they raised prices. Excellent pickups. May be a bit of a wait though. They sell as fast as they can make them. Very small mom and daughter business now that Bill has, unfortunately, passed.

I just discovered that the SS version has cheap pickups while the 34" has Duncan designed pickups. Crap, though they were the same. I may cancel the order and find a 34" instead.

I'm a Gibson player, but I bought a VM Jag SS as a backup. I[grudgingly admit]like it better than I thought I would. The only mods I made were to add an ashtray and a "Zero-Mod" thumbrest.

I'm about to cancel it. You like it just fine? I'd rather not spend $ for pickups if the ones on it are poor. I have a SG Bass.
