The Broughton Always-On HPF is so tiny you can put on top of your amp instead of the floor. It protects your speakers, gives you more head room, better stage volume and FOH clarity. I count four wins there.:thumbsup:

Curious how it sounds through headphones. I’ve considered one of these as a desktop headphone amp, to replace my vox amplug

So, my Rumble was plenty!

But the other Rumble, a V1 25, played by one of the lead guitarists(!), caught my eye with a Pulsating Red Light in the bottom port! I'd only ever read about them and never saw one in the wild! But there it was!! Not a 100, as I thought was "the one" with the light, but a 25! How cool! I was giddy to see it. I checked for the rumored " light switch" on the back, but there was none. But I was surprised to see a decidedly aftermarket speaker wire arrangement!?! Hmmmm . . .

That picture brings me back. That was my second ever bass amp. I got it for Christmas a year or so after I started playing.

It's still somewhere at my parents house and I'm kinda tempted to see if it still works.

Well, you have at the very least provided me with a half-hour of reading the Broughton website. Interesting, and nice-looking stuff. Apparently the always-on is not currently in stock so I have that protection from impulse-buying. Thanks for the info!

Nosy ... uh, ... enquiring minds wanna know. I think they are tres coolio! Having seen a working one in a 25 at a jam recently, I'm now fascinated by that pulsing red light! @Medbo_BassBoy you are now member #1141 in The Fender Rumble Club. Hey, Lizzy, I'd be interested to see if your V1 Rumble 25 has the stock speaker wire on the back, since the one I saw obviously didn't. Do you recall a switch to turn the light on & off? Or maybe that was a homemade add-on I read about somewhere.

Color me interested. :)

That stuff must be just behind printer ink for the most expensive liquid on the planet. However, I may have to give it a try anyway.
