Very interesting! Just looked this unit up (Mud Stand Mini — Mud Stand). Is it totally made of foam? It does not fold up in any way correct? How is its durability? Thanks for the idea.

Hi @bassdeal I took this info from the Mudstand website.
"The Mud Stand Mini breaks apart in seconds. It has an internal magnetic locking system that holds the three foam pieces together, in a tight block, for easy carrying."

Well this conversation most likely belongs in the "Band Management" thread. I usually recorded rehearsals and shows. For some shows I also recorded video for posting selected ones on the band's website (links to YouTube) which I created. Being both an historian by education and a software engineer by profession it was a natural thing to do (I still listen to recordings I did in the '90s and so glad I took the effort to record them). The guitarist did not like some of the earlier ones so to make a long story short, eventually gave me so much grief that I just stopped doing it. He is a Facebook person (I am not) and posted videos done by his family and friends on Facebook (some he shared with the rest of the band). Quality was horrible. I have no idea what else he has been posted. Now I have the website just link to the Facebook account.

I still record with the other two bands I am in without issue.

That band must be a lot of fun to be worth it.

Hey Guys, a Loyal Fender Rumble user here and got a question for ya.. First of all I have been using a Fender Rumble 500 combo for about 5 years and loving it but the last couple months I have been having a problem with it. When I first turn it on, sometimes not every time the volume cuts out and sounds really distorted but after a few minutes it works fine, plugged straight into the amp with a cable I know works and same problem.. I can deal with it if I know it will start working but I'm afraid it will finally give out at a gig. I have owned this amp for over 5 years so the warranty ran out a long time ago. Has anyone else ever had this problem and if so what was the problem ? Used a passive and active bass with the same results.. Thanks in advance for any advice..

@JakobT , were you the one that told me that headphones with the 25 was noisy? Any better on the 40?

Guilty as charged, but it wasn’t the 25, it was the 15. The 40, and all other Rumbles I’ve tried (that is to say the 100, the 500c and the Studio 40) are dead quiet.

Right! I remember now. I’d wager a bet the 25 has the same problem, since they have the same top-load 1/4” headphone jack.

@Beginner Craig , my rec for the 40 still stands, because of the features. If you do think you want the 25, I’d highly recommend testing one in store with headphones since you want to use that feature mainly. I know if my headphone amp was buzzing or humming that would drive me bananas!

Right! I remember now. I’d wager a bet the 25 has the same problem, since they have the same top-load 1/4” headphone jack.

It might - but the preamps might be different, as the 25 has the overdrive section. Owners of the 25 are hereby officially encouraged to chime in!

Yes.(made of foam) It's a dense foam, seems pretty hardy. Only problem I've had is a couple magnets came out[attached to each other, not lost]. Foam compatible or white glue puts them back. The Mini I have will also hold my R200c so they're strong. I shot a pic of it "broken down", but it's not gonna fit in a gig bag. It's light weight, separates the amp from the floor, and angles it up toward yer ears. However, the angle is what it is-not adjustable. I like it best for wood floors/hollow stages.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like a possibility. The ability to fit in a gig bag is not critical to me. Do you think this would work on top of a wide or two normal milk crates to give it some extra height? Just a thought.

Maybe. I would experiment at home with pillows -just in case.

Using my new bass through my Rumble 500. Sounds awesome! I just love these amps, and they are Kenny approved! My only complaint, why the heck didn’t Fender put in a mute button!

Okay, I got the upright sound. You would, of course, expect a Fender Rumble to be involved.
This was last night. We were just setting up and ready to start sound check. The sound man said, "that sounds like a stand up."
I said, "Hold right there, that's what I'm going for.
This is my 100. All EQ at 12, gain at 7, master at 9, vintage on.
The bass is a Breedlove Solo Jumbo

The all at noon EQ tone with vintage engaged is legit. I set the gain around 9 when feeling adventurous.
