I think it is a good amp. As with anything I would like it better with a lower price... When I purchased mine back in April of last year it was about $30 less ($199). If I was doing it today I would consider getting the Rumble 40 for $199 and adding a Zoom B1 Four multi effects pedal to use in front of it (about $80) so for about $50 more (than today's $230 price) you get a more powerful amp with a larger (10 inch) speaker. The Rumble 40 is about the same physical size as the LT25 (about an inch or so larger) but weighs about the same or a little less. I have the older model of the Zoom bass pedal and it works well, I use it in front of a bass head I have with a home made cab. The Zoom B1 Four has bunches of amps and effects, a built in drum machine and 30 second looper (short time but good for practice), runs on batteries or usb and has software for adjusting and saving effects.

Finally ordered my rumble 800 stage can’t wait for it to come
A belated welcome to TalkBass and the Rumble Club, Jonny!
Man! The Stage 800 is the King of bass modeling amps! Besides pumping out up to 400 watts continuous by itself, it can also run one or two 8 ohm cabs for the full 800 watts! Did you order a cab, too? Or saving some excitement for later?
The LT25 and the Stage 800 are the two extremes in the Rumble modeling line. Me? I'm quite thrilled with my Studio 40 and all the same software as the Stage, just less power and no extension cab. Here's my quick & dirty presets comparison chart:

Or a Rumble 410, or two! But, if you wanna try the Rumble 115 cabs I wouldn't go with anything less than two of them, 'cause they're only rated for 300 watts continuous.

Oooh! Maybe a 2x12" combo with the Stage 800 amp section?? That would be cool.
I should add that the 100 covered the room with no PA line. We were using 3 JBL powered 10s (one as monitor) and not exactly a quiet set. The master on the 100 was at noon, didn’t even break a sweat, and judging by the compliments they could hear me just fine!
Ok been looking through all the smaller rumbles. I have a small house and just starting learning bass. Do i go with Rumble 25, LT25 or Rumble 40. Will a 40 be a waste since most of my practice will be on headphones?
I have the Rumble 25 ($100.00 USD). I bought it new about 18 months ago when I started playing bass.
It has the headphone jack and an aux in to hook up your laptop, smart phone, or mp3 player, for backing tracks or playing along to songs.
Volume-wise, I set the volume at 9 o'clock and it is plenty loud in my man cave.
So I think if you plan on using it for in-home practice only, it is plenty loud, at last for me.
I play blues and classic rock and just plug and play my bass without pedals or effects.
If you want the added built-in effects, then the Rumble LT25 might be a good choice for you.
Like everyone on here says, try them all out in person if you can.

I've been looking for something like that! We have a few such "Towers O' Rumbles" there already, but I don't think we have a Stage 800 with 2 black 210 cabs, ... yet.
