Plenty of Rumble experts here to help you out so check back often and you will definitely get a reply. I'm sure our member G-Dog will have all your answers.
In the meanwhile check out the Rumble Wiki page compiled by G-Dog from information supplied by all the Rumble members..link below.

My Rumble outfit is a 500 Combo with 2x10 speakers in it like that cab..Eminence speakers. The extension cab has a 15" Eminence driver in it.

That's the standard extension cab for the Stage 800. If you get it (same cab) with the grey grill, it's a standard extension for the R500. Sizes match for stacking.
Yeah the black grille designates it as the 800 line of amps and cabs. Dunno why they didnt match the 115 cab too @vancamp to match my 500C..very odd planning by Fender

Ok been looking through all the smaller rumbles. I have a small house and just starting learning bass. Do i go with Rumble 25, LT25 or Rumble 40. Will a 40 be a waste since most of my practice will be on headphones?
Sooner or later you'll want (or should want) to jam with someone else. You'll quickly discover that the 40 is not a waste.

Does anyone use an amp stand with their R40? I looked at the Wiki but could not find any topic on amp stands.
3rd show with my R40 in the semi-acoustic trio. Very tight corner wooded location, right against the wall at my feet. I did use a small wood block to prop the front of the amp up a bit for some direct projection to the audience. At the start booming low-end between the cajon and me. Major EQing for the first hour by me until I got something that "seemed" reasonable. This was a particularly bad setup but typically we play in quite tight spaces and the amp is almost always directly next to a wall. Sometimes I can move forward during a song to check levels etc. but sometimes once we start playing, I can't move without moving a mic stand.

The problem I have is in I can't actually hear what the amp is actually putting out, sound-wise. I calculate what I think it is doing (OK I am at this angle from the speaker so maybe 30%->90% attenuation upper-mids->high treble) but I don't know for sure. Also guitar, some cajon, and vocal through a Bose L2 which the mids and highs blasting into my right ear (don't get me started about these systems) so it is hard to determine if I am at a good volume.

It seems like some of the popular guitar amp stands would work but they take up significant floor space compared to the R40 itself. Maybe a couple stacked milk crates?

Anyone opinions on amp stands for the R40? Thanks for any input.

Truth be told, neither can we. When there isn’t a sound guy, our guitar player pinch hits. :)
True. With our group, if the one guitarist brings his PA, he runs it. If I bring mine, I run it. His is 1 or 2 Bose l1's, set up so they serve as both mains and monitors. Mine is a JBL EON One, set up behind us, again as main and monitor. We hear the same thing the audience hears-only a microsecond sooner.:smug:

Yeah, that thought crossed my mind too.

Well this conversation most likely belongs in the "Band Management" thread. I usually recorded rehearsals and shows. For some shows I also recorded video for posting selected ones on the band's website (links to YouTube) which I created. Being both an historian by education and a software engineer by profession it was a natural thing to do (I still listen to recordings I did in the '90s and so glad I took the effort to record them). The guitarist did not like some of the earlier ones so to make a long story short, eventually gave me so much grief that I just stopped doing it. He is a Facebook person (I am not) and posted videos done by his family and friends on Facebook (some he shared with the rest of the band). Quality was horrible. I have no idea what else he has been posted. Now I have the website just link to the Facebook account.

I still record with the other two bands I am in without issue.

Welcome to TalkBass and the Fender Rumble Club, EXCAV VIII. Is there anything specific you wanna know? Generally, it's the cab dressed up for use with the Rumble Stage 800 bass modeling combo amp, matching that combo's speakers and cosmetics.

It is exactly the same physical cab as this Rumble cab, (except for the color of the grille clothe and metal corners):

It's also the exact same speakers as in the Rumble 500 combo and the Rumble Stage 800 combo. Here's where we found out all about this "new" cab after it's introduction caused questions: Fender Rumble Club

25 vs 40: there are some here that gig with a 40, so that little extra power/bigger speaker could come in handy for years to come. Aside from that; the 40 has the same 3 shape buttons and 4 band EQ, XLR out AND variable OD of the “big” Rumbles- All super useful features, and the main reason I’d recommend the 40.

@JakobT , were you the one that told me that headphones with the 25 was noisy? Any better on the 40?

I generally do my headphone practice on my Vox Amplug, but when I have used headphones on my 100, it’s dead quiet.

LT vs Regular: I’m not really into amp modeling, but that may appeal to you. IMO, as a beginner you should go simple. That will allow you to focus on playing the bass, not playing with knobs. ;)
