Please tell us more of your Rumble journey. Especially, how you came to the Stage 800 possibly putting up to 400 watts continuous into a 250 watts continuous 112 cab? I assume you don't turn it up too much, eh? Personally, I don't have that kinda control of myself. You're a better ... uh, person than me, Gunga Din. :thumbsup:

To tell you the truth had there been a 500 or 800 I would have probably gone that route. Running no ext cab and halfway up it was knocking the tip jar over all evening.

I was leery about the cab also but halfway up on the master it's not bad. Really I don't plan on using the 12 with it. The two together match up pretty good though sound wise.

Hmm. S800/112v3. Interesting pairing. I have 200c/112v3. Love the tone but rarely do a gig requiring both. The CC we played tonight, I used my B25 and it was overkill.:jawdrop:

Yeah, dOR, that's what I did! Enjoyed my 1st gen bass modeling Fender B-DEC 30 for 12 or so years. But the allure of the Rumble Studio 40 was just too much and I snagged it last spring. Oh, no, just realized it's 2 year warranty is almost half done. I'm not worried, though. The B-DEC is still going strong for my bass protegè.

My Rumble 500 combo's 5 year warranty ran out the middle of last year. It's still in great shape, though, so no replacement is contemplated at this time. However, there are rumors of a new Fender Rumble combo being introduced at NAMM this week! :woot:

The 2 gigs I did last weekend were with the S800 by itself and was plenty loud enough. The whole idea of getting the amp in the first place was to get something lighter in a single combo. Thanks to this thread and a couple others I decided to go for it. The 112 was just a little extra fluff in my trade deal and it might just go back.

A. It's a kickback cab so no need(it'd be pointed at the ceiling);2.* It's as heavy as the 200c, which fits, but the weight is more concentrated. BTW, the B25 sounded great-the room is boomy to the extreme. I expect to EQ the R40 'weirdly' too.

3.a.¥. I'm familiar with kickback combos, in that the kicking back is optional and really only useful without a stand.

₩.4‐q. I used this stand with my B-DEC 30 in the, uh, ... 'unkicked' position to good effect many times. Try your B25 on the MudStand. You might like it.

I've been running like this except the high mids flat. I tried this, and it's glorious, too.
