Fender Rumble Club

I currently own, and have gigged a GK MB800, MarkBass F1, and had a GK Legacy 800 for a few weeks. I had a Quilter BB800 for a few gigs at the end of last year as well, and earlier last year i had a TCE BH800. I also have a GK MB200 but i dont consider that for gigs. Out of all of them them its the Fender that is now doing it for me. I wouldn't say its the most inspiring head, its quite warm and id say does lack character compared to the GK heads, but its the one that give me consistently less to worry about at gigs.
It just sits there with most of the knobs at 12 o'clock and gets me heard. I like the tone so much ive stopped using my Helix(s). Just bass, amp cab. I do have a small compressor coming as i do feel the upper notes need a bit more punch to them sometimes, but thats probably something i wont use a lot.
Thanks for the reply. You might obtain a little more "character" if you bring your gain level up to around noonish to 2 o'clock and adjust the master accordingly. I know that worked for me. Good luck and nice to hear your pleased with the Rumble!

Thanks. I have it at around 2-3 o’clock anyway. It wasn’t a negative as such, it was more a comment that it has the least amount of character, which works for me in a gig situation. Maybe i should say It has the right amount of character, not as string as the GK heads. The GK seems to work better for Pubs for me, where we can let go a bit more, but I don’t do many of those, and i know the Fender will work fine for those as well.

Hi Rumblers. I’ve recently obtained a RUMBLE LT25. ... ...

Fantastic, Craig! Show us a photo and get a Club membership number.
.
... ... Does anyone have a list of the all the effects/functions of the amp and what the effect does. I believe there are 30 with another 20 that you can add by replacing others. Thanks

Begin, have you checked out the manual? It lists all the stock presets (30 + 20), all the amp models and the effects models. There's a link to it in the Rumble LT25 section of the Rumble Club Wiki page linked in my signature. I compared the number of models and presets for you in this post.

Hope this helps.

Would it be safe to have a guitar playing through the aux input of my Rumble 100 combo, and me playing bass through the normal instrument input, at the same time?

I’ve done this with me and my drummer, who plays an electric kit, and we share the amp, just during rehearsals as sort of a quick fix. (He normally gigs with his acoustic kit) the amp still runs and sounds fine. But just wondering if it would still be ok for guitar, since it’s got a much higher register. Don’t wanna blow my amp, or affect the sound quality by damaging the speaker somehow.

Thanks

Hello Rumblers, i’ve been trying to search out this question but have not seem to find anything. I typically take my 800 head and 4X10 cab to my practice session where we plug My line out to the drummers studio interface and set up. I will typically control my volume to my cabinet and the line out goes to a separate set of studio speakers he controls which also allows us to record. I was considering leaving my cabinet at home today and just bringing the 800 head. Are there any bits of information I would need to know if I am simply plugging in my line out only with no cabinet. In an attempt to not have to haul around my cabinet today. Thanks for the information.
Depends if you can monitor your bass signal :headphone:

lower volume if you do.

I haven’t heard of guitars breaking bass amps, maybe other folks here have, but I’m wondering how your guitarist will achieve a line level signal without any gear. Also note that there’s no volume control on the aux in and it’s (obviously) a 1/8” stereo jack.

Confirmed, with a 1/4 adapter on a regular aux cable with adapter in guitar works. With headphones on, you're only getting one ear.. same as when I travel with only my DI pedal, headphones, and bass. Shouldn't be an issue without headphones.

Should work the same with a regular cable and 1/8 adapter.

The Aux in signal isn't affected by the amps effects. Just clean, clear guitar. Volume is independent of the amp and controlled by the instrument. You could at your own risk control your volume via an effects pedal. I just briefly used a fuzz pedal for just such and it sounded absolutely great, I'm just not entirely sure that a boosted signal couldn't harm the aux input. It could be the same as playing a song from your phone for all I know about the energy being transferred.

And she's quite lovely, too, Craig! @Beginner Craig, you are now member #1187 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations, and welcome. Make yourself at home here, on the Rumble Club Wiki page linked in my signature, and especially please post further discussions of presets and models to the Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800 sub-thread of The Club. That way we give our non-modeling Rumble brethren and sisteren a break from those technicalities of which they know not.

Beginner, I look forward to hearing more from you, as we don't have a lot of LT25 owners in The Club. Please keep us informed of your progress! And, whatever else catches your fancy, please do continue to. . . .

Rumble On!

Stupid me, that was asked in regards to a Rumble 100. I can try that too, but it should be the same.

G-dog. If I'm considering buying an extension cabinet and the 4 10 costs $399 same as the 2 10, other than weight difference.. why would I ever chose the 2 10?

The 4 is rated higher at 1,000W (Program), 500W (Continuous) while the 2 is 700W (Program), 350W (Continuous) both are 8 ohms.

Wouldn't that allow more headroom through more speakers? I'm assuming they're the same speakers, just more to disperse the load across. Is there some other factor I'm not seeing?

And I apologise to everyone for hijacking the forum with all my posts and questions lately. I'm trying to stick to things that may be informative or of interest to others also.

Tried the KAISH black vintage barrel knob with set screws (from Amazon). The inner diameter is too big for the D-shaped shaft on Rumble, the knob would easily be tilted. So returned that (free return!) and got Fender skirt knobs instead.
These are the Kaish knobs on my R200c(also on my R40). They're a slightly smaller diameter than the stock knobs, fit the shaft, and use a setscrew to tighten down. They even include a screwdriver to mount them.
