Fender Rumble Club

Attention: Rumble Club Wiki Edit Alert!

Thanks, @Diver. A link to your post sharing USB Recording Tips with Reaper has been added to the Rumble Club Wiki page at the bottom of the Stage & Studio Links section. That's some very helpful information that many of us may need, so I hope this captures them for future use.

Thank you, Divey, for sharing these tips.

Attention: Rumble Club Wiki Edit Alert!

Thank you, @tombowlus. A link to your post confirming that the USB for Recording is NOT Bi-Directional has been added to the Rumble Club Wiki page at the bottom of the Stage & Studio Links section. That's a useful bit of information that the recordists among us need to keep in mind. So, it's captured here for posterity.

Thanks very much, tommy, for sharing this.

First rehearsal report with new Rumble 500 combo;
I am in love with this monster. It has all the power I’ll need and sounds fantastic with my PJ. I only had to run the master on about 9 o’clock and was almost too loud. Got compliments from drummer and guitar player on the tone. I couldn’t have made a better choice for the money, I am thrilled and now just need to grab a footswitch to start using the drive channel more effectively.

Ya mean the 'mute' effect?:smug:

Seems to be very little Rumblin' goin' on. Shhhhh.
Indeed, its' quiet out there.....too quiet....
I'm Rumble 40'in all by my lonesome, playing along to some Jobim tunes, plus some old tunes by the Band, this and that. I also used some of this downtime to put new tuners and a new bridge on my Epi Rumblekat bass. All of it from Hipshot. Now my Rumble 40 likes my Rumblekat even more.

I've been doin' some playin' but I use my "practice amp"(the Kasino)'cos A) it's always plugged in-the Rumbles are under their covers, and 2) it's LOUD and I can release some pent up frustrations. Been alternating between the Les Paul 5er and the THUNDERBIRD.
I considered the RumbleKat but wound up getting my Ibby AGB200. Which I like-a lot. But I've wondered about those. Maybe if one of the local stores had had one to try......Oh, well.
Since there's so much going on(yeah, right), maybe over the weekend I'll get offa my fazaza and try something I've been thinking about: R100 efx send>R200c efx ret w/ R200c ext spkr out >R112, + R40 separate for EHX Micro POG octave up effect. Mucho bottom plus dedicated upper octave amp when I stomp the button. I'm sure I'd never cart all that crap to a gig, but then again, what gig? Oh, yes. Mustn't forget the foot switch for the 'mute' "channel".:smug:

Those Ibby Artcore basses are gorgeous. I'll bet it plays great. What a nice look. I guess Epiphone still markets the Rumblekat, but not sure. I haven't seen any lately in my local shops.
The R'Kats are still listed in SW's catalog. My Ibby is a Tobacco Burst, the newer ones are 'natural'. I'd like to see one up close. Pics are gorgeous.

And that is quite a chain o' Rumbles you're thinking of putting together. Might as well go for it.
Like I say, been thinkin' about it. It's not like I have anything else to do. The Micro POG has 2 outputs, 1 dry, 1 effect. I've never split it b4, should be enlightening.

Someone still needs to make a wall of Rumbles but a 100+200 w/ 112 and a 40 should still produce more rumblin then a thunderstorm!

I'm sad that my Rumble 500 has to do without its matching 210 till this is all over. I too want to annoy my neighbours!

I also tried an Ampeg SCR-DI recently. It distorts with my Stingray and has a cracked PCB. Good ol' Ampeg quality! And sonically it's not in the same league as a Rumble. It's like comparing a 1970s boombox with a modern hifi stereo.

I wish Fender just removed the power amp and made a Rumble pedal. That would make headphone practice easier while still keeping great tone!

I'm doing like usual at home. Shaking the walls, and rattling the windows with the Epi EB-0, and the Rumble 100.

I would buy this pedal in an instant. I don’t understand why Fender hasn’t done this.

Any ideas?

They made this for a while back in 2011. The Fender Mustang Floor pedal put the Mustang/(later Rumble) modeling tech into a pedal. Guess it didn't catch on, but there's still some out there on the used market.

And the more current Fender Downtown Express pedal gets the Rumble sound for some people.
