Fender Rumble Club

I can't really offer much of a comparison, because I've only tried a 200 combo once, briefly and in a store. That experience might have been what sold me on the v3 Rumbles, actually, because after that I sought out and found the used 500 head. Not specifically remembering what the 200 combo sounded like, my guess is that it's very similar to the set-up I have, except that the 500 has extra headroom (cleaner low end, etc.).
Apart from two great Ampeg combos (little BA110 practice amp and 100 watt Rocket Bass), I prefer separate heads and cabs, partly for the ability to mix and match, and partly because I'm superstitious and obsessive about having spares in case of equipment failure! (At the gig pictured above, I had a Trace Elliot ELF in a backpack for my spare, plus another Jazz Bass lying on a towel on the rock shelf behind me. And extra cords, etc., etc.)
I’ve owned both setups. Currently own the 200c V3/15” and I love it great Great tone. I didn’t need the 500head with the 15 cab so I sold it. Wish I hadn’t but for my ears I like the 200 combo better. LOL YMMV MHO HAHA :D

Makes sense! Thanks for the reply!

Love my R200C, but I've found that my R100 is plenty for what few gigs we have these(crappy)days. A bit lighter, a bit less space taken up.

My 200c along with my new Build.

I know I have a Rumble Club number. How would one fine it? Thanks! :chicken:

One can always do a TB Search of The Club postings for a username posted by the Club Number Issuer of the time (if you recall) to would find it, as apparently @Expendable did, like this:

Or you can always view The Club membership lists linked on The Club Wiki page.

Or, the current Club Number Issuer can always look it up for you. G19Tony, you are #930.

I'm with you. I really like the 200 combo.
I've had my Rumble 200C almost 6 years & I'm still impressed with it.

The twin rumble 500’s have been my first and only amps.
Newbie here, so testing the “there is no dumb question” concept.
Is it possible to drive a 2nd combo from another combo, effectively using the 2nd as an expansion cab?
I’ve got a Stage 800 and have been considering trying to find a V3 2x10 expansion cab and a compact head (Trace Elliott ELF or similar) so that I’d have a usable backup to the Stage (also thinking 800 watts through two 2x10s should pretty much be all I’d ever need).
But if I can drive a used V3 Rumble 500 through the Stage, this would be a significantly less expensive way to accomplish the same thing (two 2x10s and a backup amp).
Thx.

great question and not dumb by any means. Yes you can connect two combos together via the send and return effects loop. The amp that is the “send” will control all parameters of the second combo... except the horn. If you are using the horn then both should be set to the on position.

Great, thx. So only tweeter/horn would be on primary/driving amp? That shouldn’t be an issue as I wouldn’t think you’d use two anyway?
This would be a pretty reasonable setup as used V3 500c’s are running at about the same price as a used 2x10 extension cab and are much easier to find in the wild.
Thanks!

Indeed. I am using mine to drive beats so both horns are needed. But yes you are spot on. I am using an Acoustic 360 as my bass amp. The fender 500 combos sound awesome on beats, sax and keys. AWESOME!!! Better than a Bose tower I have. .... and great on bass as well.
