Fender Rumble Club

Hey people! I currently own a Mesa D800+. I actually sold my Rumble 800 head 'cause it sounded muddy and didnt do justice to any low B I played on it.
Now, I would like to have your input on the Rumble Stage 800 combo. Does it do a better job as a Rumble amp?
Does it provide better articulation or low end definition when usin the GK emulation in it?
Does it do a good job replicating an actual Bassman amp or Orange amp?
I really like the concept of it even if its a tas complicated to work with. I am willing to be patient. It would not replace my Mesa, it would be an home amp for practice and recording.
Sorry for the many questions
Thanks guys

Just a short note that I am still quite happy with my R40. Used at a rehearsal of the semi-acoustic trio I am in (acoustic guitar, cajon, me) in a socially-distance rehearsal in a large garage, door open, yesterday. First time playing with other people since 03.03.2020. Sounded a bit muddy but reduced the low-mid just a bit and cleared right up. Sounded powerful even at low volume. Had it elevated with milk crate with board for up-angle. Such a pleasure.

Have you ever went up to the mic for a vocal line and hit the mic with your mask? Forgot I still had it on. Quite embarrassing.

If the Rumble is just for "home amp for practice and recording", I would go for a less costly, but full featured Studio 40. Love the presets...full range of tones.

Yeah but i got a good deal on a used 800...and i like better high power amps in case I got to go at practice jams and dont feel like carriying my Mesa rig.
40 watts is also not really good for 5 string basses IMO

Well yes, then go for the Stage! Never heard that about 5 string basses but, I have never tried one...playing a 4 string well is enough of a challenge for me ;).

I guess I need to ask for a number - just got a Rumble 200 as an anniversary gift from my wife! Loving the sound....

Eye-yi-yi! Ask and you shall receive. @BeSeeingYou, you are now member #1258 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome. That's a lovely rig you've got there. Tell us of your bass experience in general and your Rumble journey in particular. Then may we all merrily. ? ? ?

Rumble On!

Thanks! First Club number I believe I've gotten here.

As for experience, still very much a novice - I posted here almost exactly a year ago looking for advice on a first-time amp for a beginner - had been trying out different basses and amps at my local GC and fell in love with the Player P and the Rumble series. I got the Player P earlier this year (had been using my son's gear to learn on up till then) and the Rumble showed up two nights ago. Love the feel of the Player P and love the sound of the Player P/Rumble combo.

Still much to learn, but couldn't be happier!

Hello all -
Some time last winter I bought a Rumble 800 head as a backup, got a good price. To my surprise, this amp sounds amazing for my tone goals, I end up taking it before WD800, DB751 etc. My question to all of you is how dependable are these amps? They don't really seem like a solid road worthy build, but what do I know.
Love any thoughts you may have!

I’ve had my 500 combo at several gigs and back and forth to practice a lot in the past few months since I got it and it’s still showroom new. Seems like it’s built really well. Just isn’t heavy. :)

I was surprised at how well the Stage 800 handles octave effects. While I haven't tried a 5 string, I've toyed with octaves set low enough to throw off your equilibrium.

The pedals and amps all sound pretty damn close to their authentic counterparts from what I've compared. They're most definitely in the ballpark of turning some knobs and dialing it in. For recording or live, no one would be able to tell a difference.

Keep the Mesa AND come over to the Stage 800 side.

It is like I just shat a nuclear bomb.

it’s like having lived in Trump Tower for the last five Years only to find out I was actually living in a mud hole.

there is now way to compare the two. I was expecting the acoustic to be a little better but I just got schooled.

Here's a thought. Take them all to a gig and run a 'dead' wire to the Acoustic but play through the Rumble(s).
