NOOOOO.... the rumbles sound puny and thin compared to the acoustic. I will need to start weight training though to get that beast to my gigs.
I was also trying to figure out which one was your favorite, from your original post!

Yes. It's pretty quiet, and even at low bass volumes, I don't notice it.Probably a stupid question - but I can not find out on Fender.com.
Does the Rumble 200 combo have a fan in it.
thanks

Will running an outboard preamp through the effects send/receive of a Rumble 100 bypass the Rumbles onboard EQ?
Yes, like almost any (bass)guitar AMP with FX send/return.Will running an outboard preamp through the effects send/receive of a Rumble 100 bypass the Rumbles onboard EQ?

I don't really see the cab sim on the block diagram between FX return and the power amp, it is for headphones and line out AFAIK.Very good point, Kevin!! For headphone practice that makes a big difference! I am an admitted stereo-holic and would be very disappointed to lose that from my Aux In. It can be seen very clearly on a comparison of the block diagrams. Thanks, again, for sharing that.
The Rumbles 40 thru 500 have a Stereo Headphone Amplifier . . . .
.
Have you ever tried the 200 combo vs the 500 head and 115 cabinet? I'm curious on your view of the the differences between the two. Thanks! Here's an action shot from last Saturday night's outdoor duo gig.
I'm using my Rumble 500 v3 head and Rumble 115 cabinet. Lots of compliments on my sound!
That red light on the head could burn a hole in your retinas!

I can't really offer much of a comparison, because I've only tried a 200 combo once, briefly and in a store. That experience might have been what sold me on the v3 Rumbles, actually, because after that I sought out and found the used 500 head. Not specifically remembering what the 200 combo sounded like, my guess is that it's very similar to the set-up I have, except that the 500 has extra headroom (cleaner low end, etc.).Have you ever tried the 200 combo vs the 500 head and 115 cabinet?
