Fender Rumble Club

Ok, Drew! Glad you figured out that Apple stuff. @BigDrew, you are now member #1257 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome. We usually prefer to see your Rumbles, literally, "outside the box" but we'll make an exception this time. Yes, it's amazing what the little Rumble 40 can do!

Introduce yourself, Biggie, and let us get to know you. For we all love to . . . .

Rumble On!
.
Yes! Thanks!!!,

Ok, while the House of Blues isn't Madison Square Garden, it's not a tiny venue. The Rumbles were run direct, but they more than held their own on the stage. This is the 500 combo with the two ten extension. I could hear them thumping loud and clear all night long behind me.

So after a few months of running these, I'll go ahead and say this is by far the best rig I've ever owned. Not too mention, load in and out is about as painless as it gets. If they have any limitations associated with them, I sure as hell cant find what they are. They are doing everything I am asking if them and more.

The more I gig them the more I realize that Fender knocked it out of the park with this equipment. Everytime I post about the Rumbles it becomes more and more positive as I just become more and more impressed with them.

Count me in as an official Rumble guy.

I just got a Rumble 500c this week. Super impressed! With Covid having such a huge impact on gigs, I got the Rumble to replace my two Barefaced One10 cabs, which I use on smaller gigs usually. As a full time musician, and gigs becoming so unreliable, (We’ve been in another lockdown for the last 6 weeks here), I figured I cash out some gear, and the Rumble will be enough for smaller gigs, and I’ll keep my Mesa Subway head and 2x12 cab for bigger gigs. But...having read some of the posts here from folk doing biggish shows with a Rumble stack, it’s got me thinking that maybe the Rumble combo and a 210 extension cab is all I’ll ever need going forward.
My gigs range from pubs, corporate events, weddings, and shows with original artists doing theatres, and festivals.
I’m loving the sound of this amp!

Interesting night. We had a gig(first since March)at the Friday Night Fish Fry at the American Legion in Ft. Pierce, FL. We'd played there b4 and I had noticed that the R100 sounded boomier than usual[low, hollow stage, very tight]. I'd brought a stand but, oops, wrong one. Shoulda brought the MudStand. Hopefully I'll remember that next time we're there. FWIW, Bass-9, LM-noon, HM-2, Tr-noon, Bright button-in. Also, the amp is kinda in the corner. I pretty much sounded OK by myself but with the others I was sorta muffled.

I got my Rumble 100 about 6 months ago and only recently tried the vintage button while gigging (along with bright switch) and I think it adds more low end with less boom around A and G notes. I have a gig tonight in a good sounding room so i am looking forward to that. Actually had 2 gigs last weekend. We used to play On the Edge in Fort Pierce and Archie's.

We played Archie's twice. Got rained out both times.

I had friends come up from WPB to hear us. We played 2 songs and then a typical S FL downpour. Everybody left.:banghead:
I'm kindly offering this up as a song title...

The Green Skies of Florida

a little blues or country ditty lamenting the inevitable.

I spent 2 weeks/month for a year doing a consulting gig at the Biltmore in the Gables, and got to experience the weather of South Florida in all of its glory. August was especially delightful. Not. But the weather was perfect for Art Deco weekend (3rd in January???) in South Beach.

Most of the time you won’t even need the extension cab, but it’s nice to have.

In '72 I played with a band? out of Kewanee, IL. We played a coupla gigs in Mineral Point and Dodgeville, WI. There was a local band outta M.P. that was a lot better than we were.
