Fender Rumble Club

Rumble 112 alert, in the land of Mike Watt. A v2 which may not stack friendly under a v3 cab (v2 is shallower) but would make a nice top cab for a rumble head rig.

A bit overpriced but it isn't like they pop up often. I was considering one before to replace my v3 112 but I don't think it would work with the 200 on top.

They have 2 of those available in a local pawn shop as NOS. They look really cool!

I’ve been running my 112v2 with an upgraded speaker and no crossover or horn. I also replaced the 1/4 jack with a speakon. Anyway, looking for the connections to reconnect the crossover and horn. Should have taken pics but nope. I’ll be using rotating the circuit about 180’, using the second 1/4 jack and the new speakon, adding the tweet and bringing the circuit board back into the mix.

Basically, just need to know how the w11,w12,w13 (red, blue, black) connect to the horn switch. Otherwise I think I have it figured out. Thanks!

Nice! What colour/pattern is the pickguard on your P bass?
Thanks, it’s Aged Pearl. Here’s a better photo:

12/29/20,1125-got call from drummer. Seems the secretary at the club we're s'posed to play tomorrow(11/30)night forgot to relay the message-2 weeks ago!-that the party was cancelled. Luckily Tom(drummer)called to see if he could come early to set up. At least we didn't all drive up there to find a "CLOSED" notice on the !@#$%^& door. :banghead::mad:

Had that happen once, long distance style. We drove from somewhere in Tennessee (I think) to Greenville, South Carolina, to our next gig, a week in a Holiday Inn. When we arrived, there was a band's gear on stage. At first we thought the previous week's band had not cleared out yet. The manager came to tell us the other band, The Inkspots, would be playing. He took the blame for the mix up. But, because it was a union gig, he paid us for the week and gave us the rooms and meals included in the contract.
It was the only paid vacation I ever got in the music business.

Contracts pretty much don't exist in FL except to protect the club/venue. If we ask for a "guarantee", They'll guarantee not to let the door hit us in the fazaza on the way out.[the union in FL has all the power of a mosquito fart.]

In that day and time, the "Holiday Inn Circuit" clubs all used union bands and if they broke a contract, they would get no more bands.

Not in South FL, but yes, I know whereof you speak. (I wonder if there's a DJ/Karaoke union. That seems to be where the HI/Ramada/? circuits have become. If anything.:banghead:

Hey Rumble club, today I went to GC and played through a few amps, one being the Rumble 200 (I think?) 115 combo. I was pretty impressed. Had a good vintage tone, but what impressed me the most was the onboard overdrive tone. Probably the best I've heard from a Class D and I've tried several. Very smooth and natural sounding for an amp like that.

I had written Rumble amps off for one reason or another but now I'm intrigued. I tried doing some research and it looks like there are several versions and generations with similar features.

Does the overdrive circuit on the older ones sound as good as the newer ones?

Any advantages/disadvantages to the different versions?

How about the ones with the clean blend on the OD channel? That looks super cool and I don't see it on the new ones?

Can someone give me the quick rundown on the evolution of the series or a link to a good read? Thanks
