GonePlaid - What stands do you use? Looking for one that will work with my Studio 40 and new (to me) Stage 800 (arrived last night. Setting it up this morning).
These plus a MudStand.(R40) Depends on how much angle I wanna get. The Ampwedge is good on solid(concrete)floors.

I've got one of these Musician's Gear Deluxe Amp Stands for my R500c and Studio 40. It gets them up high and easy to reach. Very stable. Great price! A bit bulky, but worth it!

Hey Rumblers, here is a link to an article explaining low pass filters (tone control on a Jazz anyone?) using a simple RC circuit. R=resistor, or control pot, and C=capacitor. The Search for The Holy Grail, aka TONE, is a frequency rolloff of this filter. What is obviously not discussed is how the neck and bridge pickups "pick up" different frequencies, harmonics, blah blah. I am an electronics guy, but my world is not audio, but RF(radio frequency). So Imma learning audio stuff and trying to pass it on. Link Removed

Can either of those be used for your 40 & 200? If so, I imagine I could use that same one for my 40 & 800. Looking to buy just one if possible. Brands/models appreciated.
I use them pretty much interchangeably. Don't remember the brands. I've had them a loooong time. Google guitar stands, there are a ship(sp?) load.

Anyone ever use one of these? Looking to pick one up to use with multiple cab/amp combinations.

I have the On-Stage RS7000, which is very similar in its functionality. The one thing I wish for the RS7000 is for it to be more conveniently collapsible. You need to remove the arms that hold the amp in order to get it flat. It looks like they have addressed that with the RS7705 model.

It terms of functionality, it works great both with my little Bronco 40 and with my Stage 800 combo unit. I have to admit that I have not used it since I got my extension cab since I stack the units.

But to @G-Dog’s note about “cost per tilt-back angle ratio” (;)), for me, it’s not simply about tilt angle. Some of the places I’ve played have had hollow stages that really benefitted from decoupling the speaker from the floor. I know some folks use iso pads; but, there have been speaker designers on TB that have posted about needing to give some spacial separation (12” plus) to defeat resonance.

I’m not arguing one approach over the other; just saying that I’ve used the older model and it has worked for me in terms of both form and function.

What’s up everybody. I started playing bass again a few months ago after being away from it for about 10 years, and promptly found myself in a band. We have a few gigs coming up the next month and I need more than the 200 115 combo. Maybe I do. I don’t actually know. The combo is loud as hell and sounds great, but I didn’t want to risk being outgunned. One gig is outdoor and the other is a pretty large stage in a pretty large venue, so I got a 410 cab to go with it. I have a 500w power amp head, but I’m not running it. The combo is somehow louder and sounds better. I know it’s uncommon to stack a 15 on the 410 but so far I like it. Pretty outstanding rig for less than a thousand bucks.

No reason not to. And of course, using the extension gives the full 200W capability. When I used the extension 112 with my 200c, it mainly sounded fuller, not so much louder. The 410 cab oughta be plenty.

Let us know how it works out. I haven't be able to test my R200 with the extra R15 Cab. I can't crank that up in the house. Wife won't let me and I don't know if my insurance would cover the damage.

Go ahead and hook it up. You won't hafta be stupidly loud to hear-and feel-the extra fullness.
I didn't need to sell the R112, but it was just sitting, gathering dust under my breakfast table. It needed to be out there working, making someone happy(er).

Oh, I did hook it up once when my wife was out shopping...couldn't find the cat for a day or so.
