What’s up everybody. I started playing bass again a few months ago after being away from it for about 10 years, and promptly found myself in a band. We have a few gigs coming up the next month and I need more than the 200 115 combo. Maybe I do. I don’t actually know. The combo is loud as hell and sounds great, but I didn’t want to risk being outgunned. One gig is outdoor and the other is a pretty large stage in a pretty large venue, so I got a 410 cab to go with it. I have a 500w power amp head, but I’m not running it. The combo is somehow louder and sounds better. I know it’s uncommon to stack a 15 on the 410 but so far I like it. Pretty outstanding rig for less than a thousand bucks.

OooOoo, Matty, that'sa ni-ice! @Matt Pike, you are now member #1342 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome to TalkBass in general and to The Club in particular. Put that number in your TB Signature for safe keeping. And checkout our Rumble Club Wiki page of all assembled Rumbling wisdom and knowledge.

Please tell us a bit about yourself and your bass experience in general and your Rumble journey in particular. You're sure to fit right in here as we have all kinds. But the one thing we all have in common is that we all love to ... ...

Rumble On!
.

Man, I've expended a considerable amount of mental energy these past couple days contemplating selling my pedalboard and using a Studio 40 as one to feed the 500H instead.:roflmao:

My biggest factor in deciding nah was that it'd still be a thing to hook up with just as many cables as the pedalboard and the Rumble 500 sounds the way I want. So really I wouldn't be buying for amp sims, and being as picky as I am about dirt pedals I figure I'm better off with my current setup.

That said I am replacing the SA Aftershock with a $30 fuzz pedal and an MXR bass distortion. I've really tried to live with the Aftershock but it's just too bassy and when I try to dial it out I just make things sound worse. I am just not good with distortion. Last time I bought a cheap fuzz I found the cheapest one available with a blend and I've never found one I liked better. So here's hoping lightning strikes twice! And if it doesn't I'll try and make a fuzz out of my 3 pedals.:bassist:

I think you have GAS. :D

Good luck in your pedal pursuits. I haven't found the need for any but, that is just me!

I just picked up a Rumble 100. I love the Rumble series. I've got the 350 head, the 500 head and a 115 cab already but I was looking for a lightweight combo that I could gig with. It's also got the smaller footprint that I want. Getting squeezed into a corner with an upright and electric is no fun and I drive a little Mazda 3 hatchback so I hope this helps.

Good for you...let us know how it works out.

I definitely have GAS and you lot don't help! I want a Rumble 40, a black kickass Hipshot bridge, a stack pot control plate, and a black pickguard-not a fender 3 ply with white in the middle. I mean black. So I need someone to give me about 5 hunnit for a minute. Or two. :D
I do indeed have some GAS. lol It's mostly dissipated. If this fuzz doesn't work out I'll just return it bite the bullet and buy an Aguilar Fuzzistor, and if the MXR don't work I'll sell it for what I paid no problem. I don't mind so much when my GAS isn't too expensive.

I can't help with most of that list. A pickguard is like $14 so do it! lol Honestly the bridge will underwhelm you, unless it's just about the looks. In which case it delivers! And the stacked plate and 40... I mean who doesn't want these things in their life?

I've mentioned a buncha times having had a R112 cab that I used with my R200c. And that I sold it 'cos it wasn't getting used. I rediscovered a video from a coupla years ago wherein I was playing the through the 200c/112. I think it sounds pretty good. Kinda makes me wish(A) I still had it, and(2), that I had a place to play it. Oh, well. Enjoy.

I think I might give into the GAS!:cigar:

But in a slightly different way. Long and McQuade has a ton of used Stage 800s kicking around. I'm just going to email around and try one out. If I can jive with it the 500H, pedalboard, and probably my 210 (but after I try out the full stack extensively of course) will go up for sale. Even if I got the lowest end of payouts for my gear I'd stand to make a few bucks in the changeup.

And if I prefer my current rig I return the Stage for a refund. It doesn't feel like a bad idea, but maybe that's just because it's late and I'm about done with the internet for the night. I could wake in the morning and think I was crazy.
