Thanks! Good luck with the next gig! I imagine the Stage will do well.
Interested in hearing what models you use/modify. Still trying to find my sound.

... ... hope things work out for you on the Stage 800. Can't wait to try mine out when we have our next outdoor rehearsal/gig. ... ....

I'll probably go for the Rumble and Bassman models. Maybe use the SWR one for flanger and envelope filter. The move to me is more about convenience and consolidation than about amp modeling. I'm more then happy to dig into effects and dirt and stuff but 90% of the time a Rumble with the vintage and OD both on is all I need.Interested in hearing what models you use/modify. I'm still not 100% sold on moving to the Stage but I'd say I'm like 90% sold on it.
The threads are split by models? Why? Arent we a big rumble family? Please, that's what the Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800 sub-thread is for. Let's not bother the non-modeling Rumblers here, please.

Basically, the modeling threads tend to be very involved with specialty things that don’t ‘apply’ to many non modeling amp owners. Real nitty gritty discussions that can at times dominate a discussion with only one or three folks participating. It is sort of like ‘For more detail, go here’.The threads are split by models? Why? 4 ohmsI'm certainly no ex spurt, but there are several Rumble Speaker Replacements linked on our Rumble Club Wiki page for perusal. Not sure I recall an 8' replacement, though.
Perhaps Rumbler @iagtrplyr will pop in and regale you with his 8" Ampeg speaker replacement that he often mentions in the Combo Club.
ps: Some R15 & R25 users find that adding a little acoustic fiber fill in the port or behind the speaker helps the sound quite a bit, as mentioned in the Rumble Modifications section.

Reasons to be cheerful, part 1: All of the family that I care about is or will soon be in France.I'm just curious, why are you moving overseas?

Reasons to be cheerful, part 1: All of the family that I care about is or will soon be in France.
Reasons to be cheerful, part 2: My niece subdivided her property and was going to sell it (ex not paying child support), so I'm buying it and building a little Romanian wood house on it. Putting it all in a French trust with my niece as beneficiary, so it stays in the family. She's also the closest I ever came to having kids of my own. We were close when she was 5 to 6 and living with me, my 2 brothers, and her mother (they were all in chiro school and I was working).
Here she is with her two teenage kiddos.

Reasons to be cheerful, part 3: The area where I'm moving (Arcachon) is awesome. Fresh oysters right out of the flushing tank. 6€ per dozen. What 2 that are a couple of days old would cost here. The largest sand dune in Europe. It's a summer destination for Parisiens, but for the other 10 months of the year, it's blissful. 1 hour southwest of Bordeaux. 2 hours north of Spain. I really can't wait.
Reasons to be cheerful, part 4: Politics. I changed my last name a long time ago. I have a cousin who just made it to the U.S. House of Reps after a couple of decades in state government (not going to say which state). I deplore his and most of my family's politics.
Sorry you asked?![]()
Don't worry. All excellent reasons, in my book. Good luck to you. Hope you will keep us posted on your new life.
They have interwebs over there, right? So you aren't really leaving us, right?
It's hard for me to see a future where 200 watts into 2 15s won't cut it. Maybe outdoors with no PA? I have a feeling your 200C is in no danger of being replaced!I am with you there. My R200C is really more than I need at present. My Studio 40 (which I can't mention here) is nice to have for practice, portability and playing around but I probably would have been served just as well with the R40C. If I need more power in the future, I would probably sell the R200c, the unmentionable and pick up an R500C, keeping the R15 Cab just because I like 15's.
I really felt I didn’t need anything but beautiful 200c until I plugged in the 210 ext. cab and Wow!
Anyone ever have a sympathetic vibration in a combo amp? The 500c I picked up has a buzz on certain notes and was curious if others experienced that. It can be muted if you press on the center of the amp housing, so I guess I’ll pull the amp out and see about insulating anything that looks like it could be the cause.
At first i read that as “insulting”…Anyone ever have a sympathetic vibration in a combo amp? The 500c I picked up has a buzz on certain notes and was curious if others experienced that. Play. Play, don’t worry.
