I'm not sure I understand that policy. I have never had to pay for shipping for anything I have bo't from GC. Guitars, amps, stands, cables--nothing. Is that a regional thing?

That looks beat!Well, I found another in Flo Rida. Shipping to my local store is 27 bucks. I don't think they know what it weighs.[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Hmm. Wonder how one of those 2x8's would pair up with the 200c.

It'd take a lot more than a R200c to do that to the Rumble 2x8" cab!

I played through a head/cab rig at a now defunct* M&P B&M store. It sounded pretty good. Their price didn't. Owner died, family sold the biz. That [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] should be a really good pairing with a R200c, Goner. I've read only good things about them. I think they are about 28 lb.s, but quite compact. I now see they are 8 ohm and rated 250 watts continuous, so they'd be good for the R200c and the R500c. I remember seeing one in a mom & pop music store one time and being surprised at how solid it felt. The kid minding the store said, "Those are great little cabs, man." But he didn't know any specs on 'em.
Here's a familiar Rumbler's Rumbling family including 2 of the v2 112 cabs.

I think you're on to something there. I always thought defunct had something to do with Bootsy Collins.I played through a head/cab rig at a now defunct* M&P B&M store. It sounded pretty good. Their price didn't. Owner died, family sold the biz.
*when something becomes 'defunct', was it 'funct' before? I assume 'funct' is short for functional?

No, I am running it out of the Tech21 Bass Flyrig at this show.
The pic was taken before the sound guy pinned us up.
Maybe try scooping the low-mids and use the bright button? I don't listen to TOOL but we all know that one bassline and this is where I'd start.Justine Chancellor's (TOOL) Bass Tone with just a Rumble 40. How do I get close enough? Thanks
I just put it in front of the amp. I used the Sansamp circuitry to compliment the Rumbles preamp as well as using the tuner. I used it on 5 gigs since September of 2020.How do you use your Flyrig with the Rumble?
I'm trying to get as close as possible with just my Fender Rumble 40 to Justin Chancellor's (TOOL) tone. Maybe someone with more knowledge could aid me in this unlikely endeavour. Thanks!
Service manuals are what is needed, not owner's manuals. I didn't see a link for service on the above site. (Although sometimes I can't see what is in front of me!)Here is a link to the Fender website. You can download a PDF of the manual, which includes the schematics.

Thanks for the ideas. I actually play a Geddy Lee Sig Jazz Bass. Yes , he uses a pick and does a lot of hammer on's and pull off's. I'l keep tweaking although the combinations are endless with this mighty V3. Thanks Again.Maybe try scooping the low-mids and use the bright button? Because you don't have pedals and I'm not sure what bass you're using I feel like you're probably going to have to experiment. Find out what kind of technique he uses on his right hand and try to emulate that too. That might be the most important part.
It's like with Geddy Lee, if you don't hit the bass strings like he would you won't get a sound like his. I've played a Geddy Jazz and a black Ric, probably on the same day too and let me tell you I certainly didn't sound like Geddy. Chancellor might not use a distinctive picking style (or he might I literally don't know) but he will probably have a preferred playing position, bass style, and pickup configuration that effects his tone. @20GLJazz also pointed out that he uses EB Slinky strings. So that may also help.
