Fender Rumble Club

My new Epi Viola sounds fantastic through my Rumbles! :hyper:

Nice! I was very impressed when I tried an Epi Viola, just before shutdown in early 2020. Almost bought it. Kinda wish I had.

Even my Rogue has impressed me with it's tone. I originally bought it because it was a violin bass, just to look at. I had to put some flats on it just to try it out. Glad I did. I can just imagine how much better a higher quality viola would sound.

My favorites...LaBellas...

I got a Rogue violin bass, and the factory strings were astonishingly bad! They were tinny and nasty sounding, to the point where I despaired of ever getting a decent sound out of it.

Then I installed a set of the Labella Hofner flats. I have NEVER heard so much difference in a bass just by changing strings.

Problem solved! The Labella Hofner flats are the best strings for that bass.

Yes, the stock strings were the worst I have ever heard. Isn't it great though, that for $40 you could make a cheap bass sound like a million bucks?

That's fair. Most basses have had to grow on me over the years. Maybe in 10 years I'll be talking about how silly I was for not liking Gibson basses in my younger years.
Actually bass guitar itself had to grow on me. I was a double bassist and didn't think I'd ever need or want to play a bass guitar. Until I did....

The youngster I spoke with said it was because it is a used amp. I don't know if that is correct or not.
I ordered a Rumble 210 cabinet shipped from GC warehouse to my front door in Arizona for zero shipping cost.
Of course they said that there were three in the warehouse and that I would have the item in five days. Then I got a message from the warehouse saying they were out of stock with an unknown ship date.

Personally I hate the Viola bass. lol Like I dig nothing about them, it's the least "me" bass you can find.

But I'm always happy for those who have found an instrument that speaks to them!
I have the EKO version and love it. But I only use it for acoustic gigs.
