Fender Rumble Club

We celebrated our singer's bday yesterday as a private party (in the place I've linked a short clip from).
Wrote/sang a mashup bday song for him, just to make him even more touched.
And had some jams. cajon, a Fender tele into a really small amp, 2 (and a half when our drummer sings into 2nd mic I just let my voice out) vocals. played nice and quiet(ish)
Kit P/w flats > r100. eq: B11 LM12 HM1 T12, tone on bass 1/2 - 3/4 depending on needs. no buttons, no drive.

Just really love theese intimate concerts/jams!

My cab came in today. I picked it up, went home and fell asleep. Going to fire it up tonight. (I easily carried it to the car with one hand, very light)

Thanks Again to everyone who took the time and effort !!!!!!

Sorry that it is freezing by you. Gorgeous 14° day here in Arcachon. J'ai fait une belle promenade au bord de la plage avec mes 3 chiens !

22C all afternoon, went for a 2 hour bike ride. 14 now, just came in after putting out the fire. We had fam over for hangout time. Roasted hot dogs, s'mores, etc.

No Rumbles were burned.

After looking at the R100 i/o board, it is not the same as the R40, which is shorter and has no solder points for adding the jacks

I wouldn't expect there to be. I think you'd need to find the right trace to between the preamp and power amp, drill holes, and solder wires to that and ground, with the jacks mounted away from the board a little. Dicey for most people.

It appears 7ender doesn't offer a cover for their Rumble 40 or Rumble Studio 40, assuming a cover for one would fit the other.

LeCover looks to offer nice quality 7ender Rumble 40 cover(s). They're showing the following options "600d. polyester, no pad" or "915/1220d. Cordura HP, no pad" or "600d. polyester, 3/8" padded". They've got options for custom logo's and embroideries which could be fun for an up charge. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Any recommendations from LeCover's choices, a 7ender option I've missed or other 3rd party covers for a Rumble Studio 40 in 2021/2022 ?
I have the LeCover with the back pocket option for my Rumble 40 in black Cordura.

I bought an MDB cover for my Rumble 500 combo many years ago, just before 7ender started making them! Earlier this year I bought a LeCover cover for my Rumble Studio 40 (same size as the Rumble 40). So, by my usual luck, 7ender should start making them any day now! But, if you can't wait, I can recommend the LeCover for excellent quality, fit and value. I just got the unlined, unpadded basic, which is basically what the 7ender covers are.
.
I think my R40 cover is an MDB. I'd hafta walk into the other side of the house to check...

Howdy everyone, I have a Rumble 100 combo and use that for practice. With my band I use a Mesa M6 Carbine through a 2x12 cab and I prefer the tone I get from from my Rumble over the Mesa. My question is, does the Rumble 500 or 800 have the same preamp as the 100? I don't want to jump in feet first and get something I don't really dig the sound of. Thanks in advance!!

Yes, it does! All v3 rumbles got the same preamp sections from r40 and up. Heads included. The only difference for the 40 is the lack of send/return.
Not the stage800 and studio40, those are digital modelling ones.
If the controls looks identical to Your r100, it will be the exact same preamp section.

Also You can use any rumbles (r100 and up) as a "main preamp" and daisy chain them via send/return. Fender Rumble Club
Edit: the r500 is an excellent value combo, can do 350Watts alone, 500Watts with an external cab. Or You can chain it to Your r100 for a 450W 1*12+2*10 or 600W 1*12+2*10+2*12 dual-powered stack!
Just watch out for the impedance, the 500 combo needs an 8Ohm ext. cab.
Another option are the head(s), sadly the 200/500 are discontinued.

Awesome, I've been eyeballing the r800 head just so I can grab that same tone as I do out of my practice amp, but gain massive power to keep up with the rest of my unnecessarily loud death metal band. Thank you!

Your R100 qualifies you! @Destroyer661, you are now member #1425 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome. Put that number in your TalkBass Signature for safe keeping. Then make yourself at home here and on your Rumble Club Wiki page, the repository of all Rumbling wisdom and knowledge.

Please let us know a bit about yourself, Destry, such as your bass experience in general and your Rumble journey in particular. Whatever your situation you're going to fit right in here since we have all kinds. But we all love to ... ...

If You like 2*12s, another option is to grab one more r100 and daisy chain them.
Depends how much more power You actually need and/or want to keep/use Your existing cab.
Too many options :D
NVM, just seen, for death metal, i'd go with the hd800 too!

Yeah I'd be switching from running a 600 watt Mesa head through my 2x12 Darkglass cab to the Fender head. The big reason for the switch is I run a Darkglass X Ultra pedal for drive and no matter how I crank the distortion the Mesa is too clean. Through my r100 that pedal burps and growls and I love that so I'm hoping to recreate that just at a louder volume.

Well as far as bass experience, I've been playing off and on for about 20 years (more off than on though if we're being honest). I picked up the bass again seriously in about 2018 and just started amassing gear with no intention of ever playing live, then I joined a country cover band and that's when I decided to buy the Rumble 100. I love that amp, it's too easy to dial in useable tones and just go to town. The country band was very short lived, but I was left with an awesome amp for jamming at home and lower volume rehearsals. I joined my current band Gravevoid in April 2021 and it's been off to the races with those fellas, we have a week long tour coming at the end of next month out here in California if COVID protocols permit such. Thanks for including me in the Rumble fun, I'll throw my number in my signature right now!!

Hier soir, c'était 12. Normalement, vers 4-5.
