Fender Rumble Club

Hopefully I am posting in correct spot. I’ve got a Rumble 800 stage, and I have a 2 ELf cab stack with a tc electronic head. I’ve recently been asked to start doing Hammond and a little piano live. Can the Rumble handle it without blowing up? Or the Elf stack?

Sometimes I’ll get PA support, others I’m not counting on it. I’m sure the Rumble would sound better bc of horn. I just don’t wanna lose it. It’s very possible I’ll need t rumble at gig for bass as well.

Other option is buying like a Mackie Thump or something.

any thoughts to whether it’s safe?

An actual Hammond?

I'd like to join the Rumble club, too! I'm a new bassist since late Dec and joined the Talman Bass club, and play through a Rumble 25. I've been playing guitar for a long time but I haven't really touched any of them since. Being part of the groove is too much fun.

Welcome to the club!

Best use for a guitar amp?

Use as a stand for a bass amp!

We have a winner!

Hello, again, bri. You've mentioned your 2 Elf cabs here before, but never told us what their spec.s/ratings are. Assuming they are each 8 ohms and can each handle at least 270 watts continuous to use them both (or 400 watts continuous to use just one), then you should be just fine. The Rumble Stage 800 with 1 or 2 passive cabs, like the Elf, can give you up to 800 watts continuous power, which should be plenty!

But, if that's somehow not enough for your very loud band (and you have some really good ear plugs), then perhaps some powered speakers might be another way to go. :wideyed:

You're gonna need a REAL tone cabinet... ;)

I know this is somewhat double-secret probation off-topic, and I couldn’t find a corresponding thread, but I can’t believe what Squier Basses are going for right now. I was looking for a fretted bass for a recording project and had some sticker shock. Really kicking myself for selling the ones that I had.

I don't really want to "Like" this topic but, given the current state of affairs, one would be better to hold off on any purchases until things settle down. I am happy with what I have so I am sitting back and waiting for better times...JMHO.

I'm in the same boat. Perfectly content with a Precision and a Musicmaster into a Rumble. (My 6 stringers are also Fender)
