My first Rumble, the 25, is a recent acquisition for low volume jam sessions. I’m pleased with it.

I share the OD/mute button pain. Mine requires replacement. as a shot of contact cleaner had zip effect. Luckily, I have moved into my own house without a nagging (soon to be) ex wife and can crank the R150 at will. Thus, the R25 isn't getting much air time.
I found your post, Len, where you pulled the "dead" amp from your R100 to give away. Did you find a taker? Or do you still have it for checking the FX Return jack corrosion and the Overdrive-turned-Mute switch?

Glad to hear it, Playb. You're in the right place to sing the paises of your Rumble! @Playbyear, you are now member #1466 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome. Please put that number in your TalkBass Signature for safe keeping. Then make yourself at home here and on your Rumble Club Wiki page, the repository of all Rumbling wisdom and knowledge.
Howza 'bout telling us a bit about yourself, Mr. year, such as your bass experience in general and your Rumble journey in particular? Whatever your situation, you're going to fit right in here 'cause we have all kinds. But we all love to ... ... ...
Rumble On!

Thanks for this. I checked right away. Now I know my SpeakOn cable is the real thing. That's "Neutrik" etched into the metal parts.
Also, Liechtenstein!

Whew.
Sorry I was late. I read your post (the one where you blinked and missed Liechtenstein) and immediately knew what was off. But by that time, you'd corrected yourself. And where was the legion of TB fact-checkers?
Any time I play in a situation like that, whether it be guitar or bass, I put my amp on an Auralex Gramma Pad. It helps a lot.Looking for some guidance here. At home I have a Rumble 40 on a carpeted floor which gives me a great sound. In my local church, I have a Rumble 100 on a concrete ground and it doesn't sound anything like as good (it just doesn't have the same deep rich sound). I suspect that may be partly due to the acoustics of the building, but I wondered if putting the amplifier on a stand might help. Anyone got any thoughts/suggestions please?

Same here. I managed to fit mine into my goods shipment when relocating to France. It took 6 months to get here, but it made it, along with my 4 basses and 1 guitar. Finally bought a Studio 40 last week. It's sitting on the GRAMMA 2 now! [pic previously posted; just to point out the Auralex pad; not really needed with this setup, but it's gotta go somewhere, right?I have one. It really does work well.
]Think my beloved 500 Head isn’t long for this world….
Sometimes when I fire it up, works as it should. Other times it lights up but no sound. I have move the master volume back and forth a bunch of times real quick to get it to come alive. And seems like it takes longer each time it acts up this way…
will be a sad day
Not really. It would cost more than it’s worth and Fender doesn’t offer parts. In fact they don’t fix them, just replace them. But that’s not an option as the head isn’t in production anymore and the 5 year warranty I had is long gone. It’s not worth repairing?
