Fender Rumble Club

I'm really into modding cheapish basses. Mainly Sterling by MM. I use my 2015 Rumble 40 for testing how the bass actually sounds (as well as studio practice). Its been my best friend for many years, still sounds as good and clear as the day I brought it home. With the new addition of my Stage 800, I think I'm set for any gig or jam that may arise. As many of you know, Fender has done us and our backs right.

Bingo G-Doggy! Those are twin 100's V3's, they've really sounded great in my application, both inside and outdoors. Western swing/honky-tonk/old country, 5 piece with drums, steel, fiddle, mando, dobro and guitar.
Yup. Much as I love my 200cV3, which I resurrected for our last 3 gigs, the one time I played through 2x100V3s was the closest yet I've come to this(my all-time favorite-I had 2). This coming Friday night's gig, it's back to the 100 due to minimal space.:banghead:

I probably mentioned before that the best bass tone I have ever heard in my life was one of those blonde Bassmans. It was sitting on top of a gigantic, ancient 2x15 folded horn laying on its side in a large club. You couldn't see the speakers because they were inside facing backward. No other bass amp has even come close to the room filling bass you could hear and feel everywhere without being stupid loud. I still miss my black Fender Bassman from the 60s. It was one of the best "guitar" amps ever also!

Very impressive so far from a [Rumble 800 COMBO] 29 pound box.
After 45 years schlepping heavy amps and cabs I am getting unable to in my older age.
My current setup for the past several years has been a Mesa - Boogie Venture 600 2x12 combo with a Mesa 15 RR cab. This set up takes some effort to eq from room to room. I was impressed how well the 800 Rumble sounded with little effort right out of the box. With the Mesa 15 plugged into the Rumble it was some what muddy and had to roll out the bass eq. I think I will go with the Rumble 2x10 cab for a add on. The 800 has a impressive tone and volume. The Mesa setup has a certain warmth/tone from the tubes that I will miss but I wont miss the 150 pounds I will be loosing :)
