Check with a qualified source for the cables/connections to be used and ensure the Aguilar's volume is at a minimum. I had the same concern when connecting my Ampeg PF-20T to a R100 combo but, it turn out great.

I would expect you to benefit from the Agi's tone stack and Rumble's cabs, if that it what your are looking for.

I've never cranked one R100, much less two (which isn't that much louder, but it is louder) in this house. It'll definitely rattle stuff off shelves and walls, at the very least. Cranked somewhat over half way, it will rattle nearly things on every wall[1] in this 2,000+ square foot house, thank you very much.

[1] Small closets and half bath excepted. I think.

I would be headed to Divorce Court if I cranked my Ampeg 20-T, let alone, the R100C!

I'm back rehearsing in a previous studio, with much better gear. So i fancy a portable head to plug into available cabs.
For gigging, I then have options of TH500 with/or Rumble

Best for small gigs?!?!? If I took a 500 to where we meet and cranked it, it would be the Big Bad Wolf blowing down the house, except from inside!

Then there are such obviously un-researched [Invalid or Expired Link Removed], which plainly spouts blatant misinformation, such as "just over 40 pounds", "worst controls knobs", snarky comment about the "Vintage" button, and "[The Rumble 500] is listed as being a 500-watt amp, but that probably means in real terms about 250 watts RMS", and then stupidly lists that erroneous assumption as the only "Con" with "Might be under-powered for larger gigs", and finally, calls it "overpriced"!! Yeah, they came to the right conclusion listing the R500c as #1 in their list, but were they trying to distract from their gushy 4.8/5.0 rating, or what?

My 100-by itself-has never been above noon(G & V). When I played through the other guy's pair of R100s, I actually had the V lower than I would've for one R100. Plenty loud, definitely 'fuller'. 2x12s @200W. Sa-weet!

Best of luck. That combo combo is the BOMB. A bit more effort than an R200, but so worth it in my book.

I've posted my chat with 7ender explaining why the new ACB 50 bass amp is so hard to find on their website. A link has been added at the bottom of the Fender Pro-Tube ACB 50 sub-section below the new Rumble 800 COMBO & ACB 50 section on your Rumble Club Wiki page. This is disappointing news that Fender is so iffy about publicizing this amp, but another TBer has found them to be available on Reverb!

I hope this info will be helpful to those of us interested in these new amps!

At 24.22x23x14 inches it is bigger than it looks in the pictures. 55 pounds seems like a step back, but that's what it takes if you want tubes and tube tone. Parallel speaker output and 50 watts with either 4 or 8 ohms. XLR direct out and 1/4 inch TRS line out. That might be one of the best bass amps out there. How much was it when it was available?

Edit: The one on Reverb is 230 volts and is in Italy for $2002.86 and $235.04 shipping.

Well, an Ampeg PF50T and Rumble 115 weigh 58.4 lbs. by my calculation and consider the weight of a B15!

$2K in the US would not be surprising...maybe Fender should come out with just 20w and 50w tube amps to compete with Aunt Peg .

I wasn't complaining about the weight because it is absolutely the price you pay with having tubes, for sure. I used to carry giant amps when I was younger including a B15N and a Rocket 100.

I definitely consider Fender to be the leader and not the follower. We had the Rumble and the Rockets were pretty slow to follow suit, but everybody catches up to the bandwagon eventually.

With one band we had a guy who helped us load and unload whenever and wherever we were playing in the 70s. He would efortlessly carry out a full sized Fender Bassman cabinet in one hand and a full sized Bandmaster cabinet in the other hand. We had it good!

A question for all you Rumblers:

Background: After at least 10 years away in the acoustic world I've been sucked back into a rock band. Good fun, but gear has changed a lot since I bought my last bass amp (in 2004). I still have that amp, a Mesa Boogie Walkabout Scout. 12" speaker, 300 watts, it's still my #1. But it's also 51 pounds. Hey, it was a real improvement over the 4x10 and rack case I use to lug around.

The Boogie will stay my #1, but now that I'm schlepping it to rehearsals on a regular basis I'm thinking about getting something lighter for rehearsals and to have a backup just in case, which brings me to the Rumble.

My local GC had both the 800 and a 100 that I tried. Sound of the 800 was more to my liking, the 100 was fine. Budgetwise the 800 is in budget even new, but that's about my top since this is to be a spare/rehearsal item. Just missed out on a 500 for sale used locally, not much else used around here these days (small market).

So my question: yes more is always more, but is the 100 reasonable for rehearsal (2 guitars, keys, drums) with that nice small size and lower cost, or is the 500/800 enough more versatile to be worth the cost. Sort of a philosophical question, interested to hear what folks think.

Still thinking this through, but I did do a little experiment last night at rehearsal. I brought my current amp (Mesa Boogie Walkabout Scout) and paid close attention to how loud I needed to set it in order to be able to hear. Band has 2 guitars, keys, drums, and bass. Results? I was at almost stage level to be able to keep up. So if I do go the Rumble route, it will be the 500 or 800 for sure.
