Fender Rumble Club

... ... We can even turn it up to 12, or "flat", without breaking a sweat! ... ...

If we [could] just turn it up to ... ... (wait for it) ... up to ... 6! :woot:

Clock Knob Reading Explained
.

But, 6 is not possible on the (stock, non-numbered) Fender clock ;)!

You're so right, Souly. I just now saw that I forgot to actually type a very crucial word in that sentence. I've added it now, but the timing has passed.

But...12 isn't "flat".:smug: ... ...

No, 12 isn't flat. But it is "flat". See the difference? I mean, lotsa people call it flat, or even think it's flat. But since it's not really flat, it must be just "flat"! You see what I did there? ;)

... ... ... Then there's the fact that the numbers on the pictured knobs are "bass-ackwards".("Numbers? We don't need no stinkin' numbers!") ... ... ...

[RickyRicardo] "Lucy! Ju got some 'splainin' to do." [/RickyRicardo]
Yes, I agree that the numbers on the blackface knobs are backwards. But, just exactly how did you mean that they are backwards? Was it ... ...
b. The most obvious bass-awkways is ... it's counter-clockwise! From right to left!
3. The chart says FLAT where it should say "FLAT". 'Cause, as we know, halfway is never really flat, but merely "flat".
. . R. Historically backwards, as in primitive, because ... there's no zero!! So, ...
¥. The lowest it can go is 1. You can never turn it completely off!
6. Halfway is at 5.5! "Flat" can't be at a fraction! Real flat can be at a fraction, but not "flat".
iii. Half of 10 should be just plain 5! 10÷2=5, not 5.5.
0.g Or did you mean that just simply having numbers is backwards, and that the unnumbered knobs are more advanced?
... ... ... For tomorrow night's gig my R200cV3 will be set G-~10, Vi-on, Co-never, Br-on(?), OD-mute(7/7), Bs-10, LM-2, HM-2, Tr-10, V-~10. Horn-off.:bassist:

[Ricardo²] :woot: [/Ricardo²] I started to ask, "What is OD-mute(7/7)? I understand you use the OD as a mute. But, what is the (7/7) part?" But then I realized that you set Dr -7 & Le-7 for that! Cool shorthand, my man.

Two thoughts:

1. The world isn't Flat. It is "Flat".
2. @G-Dog is a lawyer in disguise.

Good point, Souly. Yes, the Earth's every day appearance to most of us looks flat. But, from the previous discussion (and other things), it must be just "flat".

I am not, nor have I ever been, a lawyer, in disguise or otherwise. I've never even played one on TV, ... or anywhere else! I have, however, had many conversations with lawyers, both work related and socially, and have even drawn up, eg. copied & revised, some acceptably legal documents in my career (reviewed & approved by lawyers). Perhaps that borderline-paralegalese is what you're sensing.
9. That and my rigidly logicial ...
G. Legal form clauses, sub clauses. ...
i. and sani clauses. ;)

I object! The most commonly used term is "gobbledygook". Although, since we were discussing a topic of a globil[sic] nature, ... I take your point there. But, I object to the characterization of lawyers having "a dash of silliness". I submit that lawyers, in general, get paid to show no sense of humor whatsoever, as their's is most often a very gravely serious business. And, so, thus deprived of frivolity in their labors, they take their sport with great excesses of foolishness by no half measures! No dashes, no grains, no winks or nudges, but more out and out slapstick and overstatement. Any momentary subtlety or innuendo are soon followed up with the proverbial uncushioned head conk, eye gouge or slip on a banana peel. :bored: o_O

I rest my case...

Hopefully this is an easy question… on the Rumble 800 head unit, will the post-Eq setting on the line out capture the input from the effects return loop?

We’re going to run a keyboard into the effects return so that we basically have a line in directly to the power amp. Wondering if the line out (post-Eq) will contain the keyboard.

It seems to me from the block diagram in the wiki (thanks G-Dog!) that the signal will be there, but I’d like a qualified opinion, or better still, personal experience.

There will not be any other inputs used, just using is it as a keyboard amp in this case.

Thanks in advance for your insights!

Yes, that will work fine.

But the Return alone is not a loop. The Send & Return together constitute a loop. But, it is not necessary to use the entire loop. You can use either separately, as in this case.

Yes, you are correct. And you are welcome. That block diagram came from the Rumble 800 HD manual.

I believe my few university electrical engineering classes qualify me to correctly answer this.
