Fender Rumble Club

Hi guys. After almost 2 months I'm still changing and playing with the EQ settings of my Rumble500. I think I'm getting to the sound I want.

I wanted to know how you guys play with yours. With anyone care to share the typical EQ you use along with the type of music your band plays and how loud it plays?
Include all knobs and buttons!

Thanks.

Look what I found at Guitar Center for $199.! Now what cabinet do you guys (and gals) recommend? I was thinking of going with a Rumble 115 V3 to get me started.

I believe rumble 12 in driver can handle low as well as 15 driver, but 15 driver can't deliver nice punch which 12 driver have.

15 cab also heavy than new 12 cab.

Well... Haven't tried them so can't comment from experience, not sure if you have tried them ?
The old "15's are less punchy and 10/12's are better for the highs" rule is long gone with modern speakers.
For example I was watching a Billy Sheehan rig rundown, and he splits his signal and runs his highs through a 15, and lows through a 410.

Own v3 200 combo, have try v3 500 head with 112 cab, more focus n punchy tone in mid, low still great. Just din't did 12 cab vs 115cab side by side compare.

Welcome to the Fender Rumble Club, Jim Leslie! :woot: You are member #429 :hyper:
Depending upon how much air you need to move, and how high an SPL you want to achieve: 2 x 410; 2 x 210, 2 x 115, or 2 x 112. Take your pick. I happen to love my pair of V2 112 Neos. Or if your desire is to mix driver sizes, the 210 + either a 115 or a 112 may suit you.
 Rumbles Rock! :smug:

I agree that the difference between good 15s, 12s, and 10s, have gotten a lot closer. But, I think the 15 still produces more of the old-school character than a 12 or 10 does. I'm 58 and I find the 15 more pleasing. My Rumble 100 (12) and Rumble 200 (15) each have their specific jobs. Those differences really aren't based on power as much as the differences of the speakers. For me, the 12 cuts through and finds it place in the mix, with all the bottom end I need. The 15 seems to fill the room in a different way: It feels thicker and more powerful even at the same volume. If I could only have one, it would be the 15. Tonight, I will take the one with the 12 with me when I play.

V3 100 combo's 12 in driver design is different than 12 in driver in V3 112 cab.
I suggest you take time to try out the v3 head with 112 cab at GC.

Yes, they absolutely are different 12s! I wonder just how much better my Rumble 100 could sound with the speaker they have in the 112 cabinet. I still like a 15, but these days I like a 12 also. When I was young, a 12 was just wrong for bass. I totally agree that they have closed the gap. There could be no bad choice between a Rumble 112 and a Rumble 115!

If fender wanna to limit their rumble v3 series cab model, I think those 410 n 115 cab could replace by 2x12cab.
But for vintage rules, the 115 cab must in list.
My 2cent.

So far I happy with v3 200 combo, if the v3 head come with the housing that I create by Photoshop before, I will get the head with single 112 cab or pair.
