Fender Rumble Club

Minor Gig Report:
At my work we have a building with an abandoned break room that my co-workers and I have been using for jamming one day a week. There is one acoustic guitar, one acoustic/electric played through one of those Yamaha THR10's (very cool) a back-up singer on tambourine and a drummer using aInvalid Link Removed The main vocalist is a theater trained performer and has a booming voice. We do stuff like Folsom Prison Blues, On the Road Again, Ghost Riders in the Sky, Midnight Special, that kinda old country/folk stuff.
My G&L SB-2 and the Rumble 40 sounds deep and full and is running at 1/3 to 1/2 volume. (note: I don't have my volumes all the way up at the bass. I need a smoother tone for these songs.) I thought I'd play using the vintage preset but my bass tone is so deep that the vintage setting is too much of a good thing. I played with no distortion and none of the buttons pressed and all the tone knobs set straight up. The only tone adjustment comes from plucking position and pickup blend. Love the tone and portability. Really delightful little amp. Just having this amp has opened up a lot of opportunities for me.

Never underestimate the beauty of simplicity, and the magic of just enough.
No doubt. I almost bought the Rumble 25 but I think that might have been just not enough and the 40 was already so light I figured why go smaller and lose more low end?
I'm actually quite surprised how loud our little "band" is without any significant amplification. I blame the singer, that dude has some pipes! Very Johnny Cash style voice.

Hey guys,
here's my current rig, a Rumble 410 paired with an '04 SVT CL (St.Louis). This cab takes an absolute pummelling from this head and keeps on truckin', sounds primo!

Hi guys. After almost 2 months I'm still changing and playing with the EQ settings of my Rumble500. I think I'm getting to the sound I want.

I wanted to know how you guys play with yours. With anyone care to share the typical EQ you use along with the type of music your band plays and how loud it plays?
Include all knobs and buttons!

Thanks.

Here are my settings on my 500 combo with 1x15 ext. cab. I play in a 3 pc. hard rock band against a Mesa rect. and a hard hitting drummer. We do use an awesome PA. master-9 oclock, vintage and contour button engaged, horn on, bass-12 oclock, low mid 10 oclock, high mid 11 oclock, treble 12 oclock. master 9-12 oclock. I play a Lakland 4401 and 72 pbass.

Here are my settings: 500 combo with 210 extension cab, using a Geddy Lee Jazz. Hard rock/punk band with guitar/bass/drums/singer

Gain - 2 oclock
Bass - 11 oclock
Low Mid - 11 oclock
High Mid - 1130
Treble - 1030
Master - varies, but usually below noon
Vintage button always in

I use the overdrive on 2 or 3 songs so far, my settings are:

Drive - just a hair over noon
Level - 11 oclock

This is where I have everything at the moment, but I'm still experimenting and I have yet to play a gig, so these will change based on the venue when we get gigs.

I love these cabs. Sold my 500 combo because, to me, it was meh. This mark bass 250 sounds sweet but it will soon be replaced by an "outdoor gig ready" GK 1001rb ii. (I hope I like the GK as much as this little mark!)

And the Rumble 410 alone is the best value 100watt cab known to man. (The 410 is the bottom one, the 115 is the top).
