@hotbass57*123 @crucislancer @Yahboy Thank you very much for sharing your settings. It's curious to see how similar yours are to mine, although we do play similar styles. I also seem to have to push a bit more than you do on the Master control but then again you all have an extra cab which sure helps with the volume. Last gig, with very poor monitors onstage I was struggling to hear myself competing with 2 4.12 valved guitar half-stacks and a hard hitter drummer. During sound check at least, during the show I actually heard myself well. Interesting.

While joking around during rehearsal (about our guitarists feedback issues) I placed the bass next to the amp (R-500-C) to get some feedback. It created a very interesting effect that sounded like an helicopter. My bandmates loved it so much they wanted me to do that in the beginning of one of our songs.
But I was worried it could damage the speakers because that helicopter sound seemed like the speakers where rattling/moving in and out quite fast. How can I be sure that is safe or dangerous?

Yea you really need an extra cab to compete with those guitars. Or have the boys turn down and let the pa do the heavy lifting, or turn their cabs around to back of stage.

@rodl2005 I could try to record it on camera but I think there's no need to be sure if it already seems bad. It's not just a signal loop or a high pitch noise when I abuse with the distortion pedals. It really feels like the speakers are moving a lot. I won't do it again.

@hotbass57*123 Thanks for the tips! But the thing/problem is that they didn't mic the amps so while mine was going by DI, theirs was the amps alone. They couldn't turn it down :)

Just got notification that my 2x10 has arrived. Finally! Ordered it on Feb 7.
Gonna pick 'er up tomorrow. 210/Rumble 500 combo owners....what length speaker/speakon cable did you get?

Sorry about the slow reply. I am not getting update notifications to this thread for some reason... I am using a 5' 1/4 to Speakon LiveWire cable. I just gather the excess in velcro to keep it neat.

Look what I found at Guitar Center for $199.! Now what cabinet do you guys (and gals) recommend? I was thinking of going with a Rumble 115 V3 to get me started.View attachment 611851

How about a pair of Rumble 410s? Beats lugging a single fridge in...

Has anybody bought a cover for their Rumble 500 Combo? If so, what did you pick up? I've used Tuki, LeCovers, and Custom Amp Covers in the past......I do think it would be a good idea to protect this, they won't hold up to a nasty hit.

Over here in the UK, I use these guys - Invalid Link Removed

Great covers, and well priced. I used to have them on my Markbass stuff, and they were still going strong when I sold them.

Not sure if they ship to the US - or if it viable to buy - but maybe worth a look, as they're stuff is superb.

I have covers for my Rumble 500 and 115 cab. Bought them as soon as I ordered, as I don't really like gigging the stuff without coverage.....especially with the weather over here.....!:rollno:

Ok....count me in! Got my Rumble 500 head today. I was going to get the 210 Combo, but I decided I could add the Rumble 210 (or 112) cabs later if I choose. Sounds great through the LDS 215!
