Definitely nice car. I dated a girl in HS that had a TR4A, British Racing Green, that her father had restored for her. He drove a 3rd gen Corvette which I have to admit I liked even more than the TR.
Hey guys just wanted to join up here just bought my first Fender Rumble 500 Combo. Wow is all I can say. I’m gonna get an extension cab also 210. This thing is great. I have been using a Genz Benz Contour 500 for years 1x15. I really can’t get over the punch and low end I’m getting from this Rumble. What an amp and what a price!

So recently during hurricane Idalia a massive tree crushed our master bedroom bathroom closets etc. my basses all made it out alive with no damage. Idk how but they were fine. So that third of the house has to be torn off and rebuilt. Wife and I are currently living in the living room. Kids are still in their rooms. Couldn’t get the Genz Benz out from under the trusses that are now in the floor and on my bed etc. so I needed a new rig for an upcoming gig with the new group. I remembered playing a rumble at a guitar center not the 500 maybe a 200 I guess. Anyway I just remembered liking it so I ordered it from Sweetwater and boy does it just sound great. I am super happy with the purchase and will be gigging it tomorrow night!
Here is that same room after the storm! Luckily no water damage to the basses they just had some insulation on them got them all cleaned up!
Another thing that can always help to hear a Rumble 100 better is get it up off the floor.

So, let’s talk about my Rumble 100. I love a lot of things about it.
It’s my 2nd Fender Amp. I have a G-DEC 30 for use with my Tele, Les Paul and PRS Paul’s guitar. It is reliable with great electronic settings.
The Rumble 100 is for use with my Squire PJ bass and my new Ibanez SR 1350 B dream active bass. In active mode, my Ibanez has 3 EQ knobs and a 3-position mid-range switch for the 2 Nordstrand Big Single Pups. The range of voicings I can achieve from this bass is mind blowing. Then the Rumble has 5 EQ knobs that allow me to shape the bass output, particularly in passive mode. I LO
E the light weight of this powerful amp.
Then there is the part that I haven’t wrapped my head around. That is when I can switch on overdrive, with Bright, Comfort, and Vintage buttons coupled with gain. The amp doesn’t come with instructions that describe how these features are used. Can I get a little help here?
BTW, I am a 72 year-old Alta Cocker Rocker who played guitar for almost 60 years and just switched to bass 7 months ago, and I am obsessed with the instrument. I am taking lessons every 2 weeks and I’m in a band working out a dozen songs, hoping to make it to an open mic night at a local bar. So I use the Rumble in my room, in my drummer’s basement, and my friend’s garage. I haven’t needed it for a bigger venue. I don’t know the limitations of this 100 watt amp. I know I can use the outline to attach it to a PA system and I guess to another amp. Can I pair it to a pre-amp to increase the power? This is new to me and I don’t understand all the capabilities. Again, a little help?

2014 has been a year of great strides for our club, and we can take great pride in ourselves. Our growth has been nothing short of stellar! [After starting with just 5 posts on 25 Mar. 2013, ... ] We have gone from 14 pages and 84 members at the beginning of this year, and have absolutely exploded to over 150 pages along with over 3,000 posts, and most importantly 303 members! We are the fastest growing and most active club on TalkBass, and it’s all your fault!

It has been 10 ½ years, on 25 Mar 2013, since @BumbleB founded The Rumble Club here on the TalkBass forums site. And she boldly administered the membership numbers until 19 Jan. 2014 when she asked @Linnin to take over with 89 members on 16 pages. And he not only issued member numbers but also instigated the Rumble Talks sharing much valuable information, much of it from
Then on 5 Aug 2017 the Fender Rumble Club Wiki page was introduced to help us keep track of our tremendous volume of Rumbling information. Your contributions there over the last 6 years, Rumblers, has made it a very valuable resource that is still growing. Also, on 30 Jul. 2019, added a special Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800 sub-thread for our bass modeling amps with over 100 pages of its own! Yet Fender keeps on innovating more new Rumbles, such as last year's new Rumble 800 combo with Neo speakers and 1/4 Power Switch! Can you imagine what more the future may hold?
Alas, on 16 Sep. 2019 @Gravedigger Dav asked me to help him out with Number Issuing temporarily to illness, with over 1100 members on 1878 pages. Then around 28 Apr. 2022 we reached the milestones of 1500 members on 2500 pages (50,000 replies) and 3,000,000 views on TalkBass! And, though I continually wished him well and a healthy return, on 30 Mar. 2023 Gravy Davy relinquished all claim and made me your fully fledged Number Issuer, just slightly over 10 years since The Club's founding, then with over 1600 members on 2674 pages.
Yes, we've come a very long way, and we're still going strong, Rumblers. Thanks to you! By making this an interesting and helpful Club we attract a lot of Rumblers here. And we have fascinating discussions! Let's make the next 10 years just as great!

I noticed the same thing last night. I have a Rumble 500 at home. Went to rehearsal last night and played on a brand new Rumble 100. I immediately set my knobs same as home amp. Not a good sound. Had to boost treble way up. Maybe it is the 1 x 12 vs the 2 x 10 speaker? I usually have horn switched off on my 500
12" vs 10" does make a difference. I don't think the difference in Watts affects the tone. Everything else was the same (amp, settings, HF horn was off). So it must be the speaker size.
Be forgiving with my spelling. I try my best, that's why I end up editing some of my messages.
Check the Voicing buttons to make certain one hasn't gotten 'engaged' inadvertently.
