I was considering buying a 115 Rumble cab to go with my 500 Combo, but I'm reconsidering with all the talk about how good the 12s sound!! Hmm..... 15" or 12"????
Here ya go! The new Rumble 210 (same size box and speakers as Rumble 500 combo) on top of the new Rumble 112x1 vote 12" ... i think the 12" physically fits nicer under the 500 combo. there was a promo pic of a 500 combo w/ the new v3 112 under it ant it looked mean. maybe you'd be able to find the pic in this thread, maybe 20 pages back? ... 15" under the 500combo looks clunky to me, but i havent heard either fwiw
It's not looks that count, but rather the sound quality and tone for each configuration. Some have really liked the tone of the 115 combined with the 210's of the 500 combo. Others much prefer the matching 210 cabinet. That plaid guy has tried all three and settled on the 112. Two of them in fact with a Rumble 500 head. Just remember that 210's and 115 move about the same amount of air while a single 12 does not. Then again Fender states that the Rumble 112 is "a great companion to the 200 combo". It's your ears that counts, and not the math.

I agree. You pay good $$$ to get the sound you love, so of course you want it post EQ whether in the studio or on the stage. It would have been great if had you mic'd a cab and run the XLR into separate tracks and compared the two. Here's one Linnen is going to do a backflip over:
Just got home from the studio. I took my Rumble 500 head and 112 cab because I HATE DI'd bass. The engineer (a friend actually, whose creds include the Allman Bros) would have none of it, so the compromise was to use the XLR from the head. I knew it had speaker emulation, and thought it was an opportunity to try it out. I also knew - he didn't - that the XLR is post-EQ.
He told me it sounded considerably better than a straight DI. I'd like to think it's a high compliment, but nothing sounds worse than a straight DI...
No, Yahboy, I'm just like everybody else here, and member #58 suits me just fine. I am flattered by your vote of confidence, so thank you.![]()

No, I have a pair of V2 Rumble 112 Neo cabs + a Rumble 350 head. That's my gig-rig that sees very little use these days. My Rumble 75 combo is my daily player/personal practice amp. I also have a V3 Rumble 25 that I got for a great price. It's a fun little amp. I leave it at my guitarist's house to use when we work up new tunes together. I would love to have a Rumble 500 head, but can not afford it, nor do I actually need it.You have the v3 stack, so where is the head?
Is it Bassman 500 hybric head!?!?![]()
Yahboy, like the head case for the Rumble 200!
