Fender Rumble Club

Thank you, what I'm looking for is not very professional, do you recommend double recording because the sound sounds amateur with just the amplifier microphone or because the sound recording gets worse?

If you ONLY record the mic, that's all you'll need. No alignment required. You are considering mic'ing your Rumble 40 because you weren't happy with either the direct tone or the tone from the amp sim you used. [Note that I have achieved very good results using a variety of bass amp sims, IKM's Amplitube and Overloud's TH-U among others.] You might be happy with the mic'd tone. Try it. if you like it, use it. I suggest trying different mic locations (distance from the speaker (probably pretty close, or you'll pick up room reflections) and where on the speaker cone the mic is pointed (center, middle of the cone (probably the best), outer edge)). The single most important thing is what sounds good TO YOU! ;):bassist:

Post a picture of your Rumble (and bass), and you'll be awarded a super valuable Fender Rumble Club member number! Add it to your signature for safekeeping.

I used amplitude's own stock bass plugin and I couldn't see any difference. I also added demo plugins for testing purposes. I don't know, I guess I have bad ears.

Ah. You have a Rumble 15. I probably assumed a 40 because that's what I have. Your blue bass is lovely!

Don't get down on your ears. You haven't mentioned what speakers you're playing the direct amp sim signal with. They can make a big difference. Do you have studio monitors connected to your audio interface? If so, which ones? If not, are you listening via headphones or the speakers in your laptop/PC? You could record a short bassline direct and then via Amplitube and post those two versions. I, and others, could listen to both and provide feedback.

Hello, I have a question about amp miking, I currently connect my bass guitar directly to the interface, the sound is very dry to me, I also tried amp simulations, it sounds artificial, is recording with a fender rumble 40+Shure sm57 microphone good enough? For YouTube or Instagram

Kulübe hoşgeldin, ibrhm!

Hey folks. I've been a member of the Rumble Club for 18 years without even knowing it existed - my first amp purchase was a Rumble 100 v1 way back in 2006...

I'm now looking to downsize to something a little smaller and I'm trying to figure what a fair price would be to slap on the 100. It's got a little rust on the grating covering the speaker and the disco light no longer works, but apart from that it's as good as it ever was.

What do we reckon?

BTW I am located in Wellington, New Zealand so if you happen to be in that part of the world and want to purchase then feel free to hit me up!

It's two-fer ... uh, ... Thursday! @ibrhmozkn88, you are now member #1769 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome. And @AARM, you are now member #1770 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome.

Gentlemen, please put those numbers in your TalkBass Signatures for safe keeping. Then make yourselves at home here and on your Rumble Club Wiki page, the repository of all Rumbling wisdom and knowledge.

How about telling us a bit about yourselves, such as your bass experience in general and your Rumble journeys in particular? You'll fit right in here since we have all kinds. But we all love to ... ... ...

Rumble On!

Wow! A cool Rumble 100 V1! Too bad the "disco light" doesn't work. That may be my favorite part! Is it a 1x15" or the 2x10"? There are a few 1x15"s listed on the Reverb resale website for around $180 - $200 USD, and a couple of 2x10"s for $200 - $245 USD and one for $451 in Poland! So, besides speakers, your location may affect the price, too. Hope this helps. :)

Ah.

I play with headphones, I plan to buy rumble 40, I use joyo monomyth pedal to make the sound bright and full, in the future I will completely change the equipment, I am collecting information, thank you!

I understand. One thing you might want to consider is getting a Rumble Studio 40 instead of a regular 40. It's more expensive, but you get a LOT for the extra money. I had a regular 40 that I had to sell when I moved to France. Once I get here, I bought a Studio 40. Besides its modeling capabilities, I really wanted the extra I/O (input/output) connections. It's got both Pre- and Post- DI outputs, so you can record both your raw bass and EQ'd and amp-modeled signals. You would still need/want to use MAutoAlign because the Post- signal will be slightly delayed from the raw signal. You'd need no other outboard gear, like a mic. Either way (40 or Studio 40), you'll have a great amp for the money.

Ouch! That would make a Studio 40 about $800. Ouch again. The Turkish lira has really taken a beating. You have my sympathy.

It has nothing to do with the devaluation of the currency, the state imposes incredible taxes on imported goods(%70)

I don't care if I get ripped off, when it comes to music I don't mind paying the right amount of money, but I do care about the right equipment ;)

Wow. French VAT is 20%, but the import duty I paid for my Form Factor Wombat 5 string from the U.S. was closer to 30%. For a $4000 bass, that was a LOT extra. I'm not sure I'd have bought it if the duty had be 70%. I'd have looked for a cheaper 5er.

For recording I would also recommend the Rumble Studio 40 bass modeling amp! I love mine. And Maarti is exactly right, besides all the various modeled amps, cabs and effects, all the STEREO inputs & outputs connections should help for recording quite a lot.

The Rumble LT25 is less expensive, but has many fewer features, including only a USB I/O.

You may want to check into the Studio & Stage manual to see all the possibilities it can offer. The manual is available in several languages: English, Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Romanian, Slovakian, Slovene, Spanish and Swedish.

Good luck!
:)

Rumble 40 studio 750 dollars here

Im really liking the 500c.

I feel like after a few days the drivers loosened up a bit and the sound got deeper.

There are things I dont "love" about the horn with these specific strings , but it took me trying a pile of strings to find ones I liked, so I'm not about to give them.up.

Occasionally I find myself disliking something about the rumble, then I unplug and walk over and plug into the crate peice of junk I've been playing on these last few months and get reminded just how good the rumble is.

My only real gripe about the rumble is the noise. That's just part of using a combo though. Having the amp directly attached to the cab , it's bound to make some noise.

I think im going to order a rumble 210 cab to pair with the 500. I don't need the volume, but having another 210s will let me keep the same volume without having to drive the speakers as hard.
Thay should keep some of the vibration based noise out of the 500..

If i were gigging with it, the noise wouldn't bother me. But when it's just me and the cab , I find the noise distracting.
