Fender Rumble Club

So I tried to order from them. I really did. But they don't ship to Poland. They don't ship to anywhere inside EU, they don't even ship to Bulgaria even though they are based there.

They do ship to the three countries on top of the list of countries (United Kingdom, Israel, United States) plus at least Canada. But not Ireland (though North Ireland is of course possible). They don't ship to Bulgaria, but they do ship to North Macedonia just across the border.

So I'm guessing it's some VAT issue and I'm still left hunting for a good dust cover.

For a dust cover, I took a large plastic bag that was used for bulk packaging toilet paper. It's actually quite sturdy (good thickness) and I didn't mind having had to cut open a hole for the handle.
I have some Tuki covers that I purchased in 2017 and they are great padded covers for my Rumble 500 Combo amp, my Fender 115 ext cab and my Rumble 75 amp. If they can ship to Australia they should be able to ship anywhere loll
Check them out here....

The cover itself is 73 bucks which is already steep, but the shipping is another 54 bucks, racking up the total to $127. Then there's the VAT for imports and it's $156.09 total.
I think I can get a good dust cover custom-made locally for less.

But nevertheless, thanks to all for their suggestions! Funny how the Fender-branded dust covers are about a sixth of the price of off-brand covers.

Yep the Tuki covers were expensive but I wanted something substantial and of great quality to protect my music investments..the Tuki covers fulfilled that and were nowhere near as expensive as the actual rigs. Good luck with your search.

Fender covers are basic and mass produced. Aftermarket covers are custom or small runs, with more options and often better protection.

An hour ago the Postie delivered the 2 Fender made covers..they are quite nice actually..I was nicely surprised..not thick cushioning like my Tuki's but quite serviceable for use in my lounge room to protect against drink spillage etc.
The one I have for my 500c is very form fitting. Perfect for keeping things clean and was very affordable.

Couldnt go wrong for only $35.00AU for the Combo cover and Just under $50 for the Rumble 115 cover...very happy for less than $90 delivered for both covers that are to protect the Rumbles inside the house.

Thankfully Rumbles are symmetrical. So the pocket could (should?) be on the back.
Yep dORSY...as I mentioned earlier I lay my amps and cabs face down when traveling to minimise speaker excursion damage. This method allows the speaker normal operating travel which avoids the cone jamming itself into the coil if the cab is laid on it's back when on rough roads. So my Tuki brand cover pockets are placed on the rear of the amp or cab is an ideal situation for me because of the way I transport my rigs although I still carry my cables and leads etc in my gig bag and only use the pouch for cheat sheets, amp manuals etc.

Geez, is this really something I need to worry about? What G-forces are you pulling on the way to the gig?!?

I usually lay my Rumbles (R200 and R100) on their backs with a folded blanket under them for padding when transporting them, mainly because they’re more stable that way, and won’t fall over if I have to brake suddenly.

I doubt I could generate enough force on the cone to damage the coil by just hitting a pothole! :woot:

Cool, Giffy! That is totally technically tactical looking!!

Here's my one-&-only all-in-one 25-year-old gig bag (complete with replacement carabiners for the broken shoulder strap clips). 🥲 Yeah, it's a bit overstuffed and not-so-cool for others to look at. 🥹 But, to me, it's completely chock-full of mojo and memories from really rockin' for-pay gigs before retirement to heartfelt labor-o'-love jams since retirement. 🥰

Hey, Rumblers! Show us your gig bag(s)!! Feel free to include shameless emotional descriptions, as I did here, ... or not, ... your choice, ... no presh ...

Rumble, & gig, On!
Gig bag(w/cables, amp stand, bass stand, mics, extension cords, lyrics book['cos I have CRS], stand light, various adapters, and-of course-train horn next to R100. Guess which weighs more.

If you showed them your typical packing job in the van, they'd all have a heart attack.

Lolll don't panic Ken....I transport mine face down just as a precaution here...we have some of the worst roads in Australia in South Aust...potholes on some roads the size of the Grand Canyon or G-Doggys swimming pool lollll

I'm the curious type, and find it fun to try different bass equipment the times I find myself in a music store. Whenever I've tried the v3 Rumbles I've always prefered the sound of the 500. But with where I am in my bass-learning journey, I couldn't self-justify buying one. Plus, I really like the sound from my (v1) Rumble 60.

Recently a one-year-old 500v3 one popped up at a price I couldn't pass up. Turns out it had some issues that needed to be sorted. After some time in the workshop , it emerged rock-solid.

Say hello to my little friend:

Where my R60 sounds good to me sitting flat on the floor with all the knobs at 12 o'clock (in my music room when practicing at low volumes), these are the settings on the 500v3 that I've found sound the best in the same setting, with the amp tilted back at an angle:

You rang?(w/o basses-they go on the left, on top of the duffel which under the tarp)

L to R: music stand w/ mic stand on top, duffel on them, basses above; legs of stool(x-wise on center seat); JBL EON ONE [PA] (Yamaha powered mixer between PA and center seat); R200cV3; backup amp(P_______ MAX110)between Rumble and center seat. Basses go in just B4 I leave.
