Fender Rumble Club

Thanks guys! I tried a Rumble 500 just yet but it's not my sound. So I'll stop harassing you.

Not at all, Arrow. Have you tried the 800 combo? Some say it sounds a bit different, whether due to Neo speakers or whatever. 🤔

At any rate, drop in anytime. Answering questions is our raison detre, not a harassment. 🤗

Hey! Couldn't you see I was trying to DE-emphasize the "getting old" part!! Thanks (for nothing) for bringing it back to a bigger font. 😫 A regular "Reply" or "Quote" would have respected that. But, no, what did you do, copy then "paste as plain text", or something? Gosh! Can't keep any secrets 'round here! Though I guess my gray hair in the linked pic is even more of a giveaway. ☹️ Just kidding. Everyone knows I'm old. Actually kinda proud to still be around. 😉

It's not a very big church, John, though it does have a small, mostly un-used, balcony, and great acoustics! My ultralight 9.9 lb. Vox VX50BA carried it fairly well back in 2018 when I was recovering from back surgery. And, although the Vox is 50 nutube watts (with 8" speaker), it feels to me like the Rumble Studio 40 (with 10" speaker) actually has a lot more SPL to it. So, I have no real doubt that the Studio 40 can carry the room, I just didn't want to have to push it there today if there were lots of other guitars (usual for this singer) and no FOH.
At least you got some hair ol dog lolll...errrr would that be the hair of the Dog???

As dORSY has said, the Rumble 40, 200, 500, and some 100s, works much like a mic'ed cab with the Master control. Here are some real life testimonials about how that goes.
Also as dORSY pointed out, many (but not all!) 100 combos have a Pre/Post and are not affected by the Master control. But, also the newer Rumble 800 combo has a Pre/Post switch and is not affected by the Master control. (It also has a 1/4 Power Switch for playing at lower volume.) The 800 combo has more power, and less weight, than the 500 combo.
My Studio 40 also has Pre and Post XLR outputs. It's never occurred to me before, but I wonder if you can use both at the same time, not as a stereo Line Out pair but as Dry and Wet mono outs. Record both and blend to taste (might require a little phase correction via MAutoAlign). Gotta check that out.

Dat's exactical rite, Maarti! You CAN use the Pre- and Post- XLRs simultaneousl, as wet snd dry, and just blend to your taste. That is the default configuration. And, IIRC, neither XLR is affected by the Master control! Please let us know, preferably in your Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800 sub-thread of The Club, your findings and any further questions. 🤔

Also, you CAN change the configuration to stereo right & left XLRs for recording the stereo effects! Yes, even more to check out!! 🤗

Hey Rumblers, where are these limited ed. white, blackface, etc amps at?
As of right now, they are a limited edition from Bass Centre Australia.

I will say seeing them is making me want to re-Tolex one, either get a Rumble 25 or re-Tolex my R40. (It won't be anytime soon.)

Maybe they were released in Aussie land first, but they are showing up in the USA now, too! Rumbler #1724 @Never2Late saw one at a (US) GC. Hey, Never, where exactly was that?
And Rumbler #1137 @EncoremMP saw one at a Memphis GC a couple weeks ago!
Here's one apparently found at an Arizona Guitar Center! 🤔:

And someone else (maybe in New England?) posted that they got an off-white 500! 😲
Hey @henryjurstin13, did you ever find a deal on a Rumble 800 combo? Maybe an ivory one?

I see no evidence via google search that these are available new in the US. I'd suggest checking with your Sweetwater (or other) rep.

I emailed Fender support about the white Rumbles, they essentially told me 'we don't know, and we don't find out ourselves until a week before it's an actual thing'.

Somethin' doesn't jive here if people are finding them at GC, unless those are fake posts.

Many Aussie music shops here have the Ivory Rumbles...dunno why the country that manufactures them has so many supply problems???
