Fender Rumble Club

'Manufactures'...they're made in Indonesia AFAIK, so that might explain why Australia has them now?

Or the Fender support guy is clueless or purposely left in the dark.
Yep quite possibly true that our proximity to Indonesia gives us an advantage on earlier delivery of the Ivory coverings to our Aussie music stores. The stores here seem to stock the 25, 40, 100, 200 and 500 Combos in Ivory and Black although not all stores stock the Ivory but the ones I tend to buy from do loll.. The Bass Centre in Melbourne and BillyHyde Music seem to top the list here in Oz.

Made In Indonesia label at bottom of the pic.

I saw an ivory Rumble in person at a St Louis GC and a week or so ago I talked to the GC in Memphis and the sales guy walked over to the bass section and said he’s looking at two on the floor.
They don’t seem to show up on line at GC though.
Yep..a couple months back when I lashed out and bought my Rumble 40 I almost bought the Ivory one but decided at the last minute I would hate the look of it when it got grubby with all the lugging around..wether it did get grubby looking or not is anyones guess but I just didnt like the thought of a great Ivory looking covered amp all cruddy looking and having to treat it with kid gloves to avoid getting it dirty...so I went for the black one lolll

Many Aussie music shops here have the Ivory Rumbles...dunno why the country that manufactures them has so many supply problems???

Everything online points to Oz. It’s possible a handful made their way elsewhere - or people just redid theirs in white.

I'm guilty as charged. I'm too fussy to carry around a white combo. But if I find a white Rumble 40 it will become my new living room practice amp!

I just received a Fender Rumble 100 supposedly new that sounded like the speaker is blown. I removed the speaker and it doesn’t look right and says “4 Ohm”. Is this the wrong speaker? Aren’t they supposed to be Eminence 8 ohm?

What do you mean by "doesn't look right"? 4 ohms is right for most Rumble 100s. Does this have the pre/post eq switch?
If you bought it new you just voided the warranty.

Just wanted to add my thought on my Fender Rumble 800, which I've owned for over two years. I got to play it yesterday for the first time at a school auditorium. And really crank it, as compared to just low volume at home. Man, did it sound good! Plenty loud and still had a lot of headroom left. I used the Vintage button and the overdrive set to 9 o'clock and it was sweet! I've never really used either setting playing at home. It sounded full, punchy and just a little bit of drive. Just perfect with my Fender American Professional II Precision Bass.

Everything I can find says the Rumble 100 v3 comes with an Eminence speaker that says 8 ohms on it. Yes, it has pre post switch, which I’m unfamiliar with.
The several sites I saw said 4, but I just checked the Fender site which said 8. My guess is it varies based on time and/or Power Supply/Power Amp (PS/PA) module. The PS/PA module with the pre/post switch[1] that shows up in some (not all) more recent examples is different from the standard PS/PA, and IIRC, had a different impedance speaker from the default configuration.
Did you buy this new?

I bought it new from a seller on eBay that has thousands of sales and almost all positive feedback. I’m waiting to hear back. Packaging and amp appear brand new.

And I just found a write up stating that “due to supply issues, some of the new amps with the pre post button have been modified to use 4 ohm speakers and if replacement is needed the new speaker must also be 4 ohm.” That wasn’t word for word. But I must have got a lemon and it’s a rare version to boot.

I have the 8 ohm, non-pre/post DI model just like Fender USA’s site specs/describes the Rumble 100.

Aside: Ampeg recently changed up the speakers on their RocketBass combos, with LaVoce drivers instead of generic or Eminence drivers.

Per the manual, the original V3 100s come with 8 ohm speakers.

BUT, the newer 100s, with the pre/post switch, come with 4-ohm speakers.

I’m just following up on how I resolved this, at least as of right now. I believe the glue on the speaker got hot in transit and it caused something to come loose. The amp was warm when it took it out of the box. I played my bass through it and was pushing on different areas around the perimeter and It suddenly stopped the rattling noise. So I kept doing that and think maybe I “reglued” it. It sounds good, now. Time will tell. I’m clueless about how speakers work. I need to read up on it. Thanks for info you gave me.

If it starts again, make sure every screw you can get to is snug.

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to jump in here and express my awe for my newly acquired

Fender Stage 800

For a long time I hesitated between a Rumble 200 or 500 and then I suddenly saw an opening to get the 800.

Fantastic sound and with all included available features: I’m blown away.
I knew it had some built in features, but thought they were kid stuff and that I’d bypass them.
Was I wrong!
I’ve found different amps and most pedals I’ve looked for built in. Awesome to get rid of loose pedals.

Couldn’t be happier!
I can’t understand why this combo isn’t talked about more, but I’m sure glad that I got one.
This one is for keeps. I’ll never let it go, that’s for sure.

And knowing that I, in the future, can move more walls by just connecting it to a cabinet puts a smile on my face.

If someone else is hesitating. Don’t. Check it out. IMO You most certainly won’t regret it.

Happy bassing to you all.
