Fender Rumble Club

@ubernator, the Son of Bertha is a fabulous cabinet. The only reason why it might not play nice with your Rumble 200 is simply a matter of dB/watt sensitivity. I'll bet they're not that far apart that you can't use them together. It might not be Holy Matrimony, but possibly BFFs. Apply bourbon as needed. ;)

I'm guessing it will be similar. Will take the grille off and see if one woof is spazzin out more than the other. Ears will listen too.

I think the sob has pretty good sensitivity, the rumble reminded me of it. And the sob played well with wm10, just 50 watts going to each speaker and the bertha was kicking. It was a small practice room and I was going up against 2 100w half stacks which were raised up and I was on the floor perpendicular.

I cant wait to pick up that wm10 from repair soon. And I dont miss my ampeg micro cl one bit now that my real 100w 210 stack will be back in biz with a new amp chip.

I bet it will play nice with rumble running 140 with no cab. Tuner out on the swr means I can have a discreet blend of both amps with full control of each. I am a dial master. Heck might even run a 210 off the rumble standing vertically and have 2 100w 210 stacks flanking the 100w 15 in the middle.

Well I fell into a pit of bullies today. Enough said. While their technical explanation ended up making sense, they chose to turn it into personal attacks and I could not diffuse the situation. And I was only trying to help a newbie , and my advice was sound and correct since he was asking about 2 cabs from the same series, so I mentioned 410 pushes twice the air of 115, and they went out their way to prove me wrong by including drivers with huge xmax excursion and power handling where a 15 did push more air, a total comparison of crab apples to cortlands, and added.insults and made it personal. I would just leave the whole site but I have been a member longer and it is not worth it. I did ignore the offender and all who dogpiled on me with him. Logic wasnt winning, tapping out wasnt working they just kept adding insult quoting and mocking.

Pardon my french, there are some real ******** on here, opinionated ones too. Just the facts of life on all internet forums. This thread seems somewhat safe and friendlier.

Lets see.if this brings repercussions. .. not my intent if so, just venting.

Makes me.rethink offering help to newbs. No good deed goes unpunished I guess
Unfortunately, there are some mean people on TB. They have need of belittling and the like. Good for you to just back away. Being stupid on TB is double-stupid. I have sold off all my equipment of one certain brand because of "one individual" on TB. I feel better now. I really backed away. Now, I just ignore the person's opinions and recommendations. That wasn't his intentions, but there are other opinions and experiences that matter.

As for what speaker pushes, what air, I only know that I like 15s. I just do. But my Rumble 100 has a 12. Now I know I like 12s too. I am glad to hear you just walked away and let the super-duper-extra-smart people continue the blather.

I like the Rumble Club. I just do. I'm glad we get and give good information and opinions here. We do a good job here. Thanks for that everyone.

Amen, my friend @GregT . The Fender Rumble Club has become an enclave unto itself. A website within a website. It greatly bothers others that we have a deep and abiding camaraderie amongst ourselves. It is a beautiful thing.

NRCD (New Rumble Cabinet Day)

Just picked up a Fender Rumble v3 115 cabinet. I'm using it with a MarkBass Little Mark II and a G&L L2000, and I like it a lot. It sounds deep, authoritative, full, round, warm. Not only that, it's compact and incredibly light weight (like 39 lbs). They even give you plug-in casters with it. AND... I got it for a 4th of July Sale price that was 15% off Guitar Center's regular discount. Couldn't pass it up.

I'd say Fender checked all the boxes with this Rumble series. Of course, GAS being what it is, I'm now thinking I should get a second one to go with it. Invalid Link Removed Because bass. CS

Well. .... Of course you should. 2 x 115s works a treat. One for small gigs, 2 fer. ..... Well. .. twofer ...toofer bigger ones. ;)

Seriously, 2 Fender Rumble 115s will cover you for almost anything.
As I've said b4, I've bout played the Rumble v3 cabs much (apart from a try out in store) but ppl seem very happy with em.
If the 115 is anywhere near as good as my Bassman Pro Neo 115, then it'll bea cab that'll last you and keep ya satisfied fora long time :bassist:

Gear snobs why???? I have been playing for 40+ years. I have owned every freaking piece of equipment these guys drool over. Some i wish i would have kept others glad they are gone. I totally get where you are coming from. Snobbery is near the top of my pet peeve list, whether it’s gear snobbery or any other kind. Looking down on someone because of a preference is infuriating, and I take special pleasure in making snobs squirm.

Hey all. First post since joining to announce the stork (well, UPS) brought my Rumble 40 v3 yesterday. It's also my first bass amp and last week I grabbed my first bass off Reverb (2011 American Special Jazz).

I enjoyed reading all of talkbass while making my amp buying decision and enjoyed skimming through this thread. My first 30 minutes with the new bass and amp yielded so many different tones I was amazed.

Cheers
