I've got a few questions regarding an additional cab added to my 200 combo. I'm mainly looking at the 112 and the 210 cabs (I'm a little ocd about symmetry, so the 115 would be my last choice. If it Really is the best, I'd consider it). I understand that Fender recommends the 112, but I'm looking for input from you fine folks. Has anybody had a chance to compare the 200c w/112 cab VS the 200c w/210 cab? What, if any, differences did you notice? Also, as far as mixing speaker size, I'm not familiar with the topic. Any pertinent information would be appreciated. Finally, a question to the members who have one of these 'stacks' ; how do you orient your speakers? The combo up top seems the most logical, but I've never seen/heard a mixed speaker stack with the larger speaker up top. Is there a noticeable difference either way? Thank you for you time.
I have a Rumble 200 combo with a 112 extension cab. I've not compared it to a 210 or 115 extension cab but the 112 does sound pretty sweet and the cabs are the same, looks killer. The 112 does have just a slighty different feel but it's not horribly noticeable when they are stacked and cranked. I have to agree, the 115 is probably the perfect match tone wise, but I opted for the 112, slightly smaller & lighter, matches nicely and sounds great. I've notice nothing odd in the sound due to different drivers, and if Fender is calling it a good pair, I'm willing to believe them. Ultimately, I think whatever way you go, you'll be happy.
