Fender Rumble Club

GRRRRR!!!!!!
Hey Gents, I just got off the phone with Nick from Sweetwater and found out that they won't get the Fender Rumble 115's until Sep 18th.
So I must anxiously await arrival.
I had put them on a "Notify Me When They're In" status but I've changed it to "Ship Them To Me When They Arrive" status.
They'll bill me at that time.
Guess I gotta get used to sleepless nights waiting for the cabs.

That's how I got my Ibanez SRF700 Fretless Portamento.

I searched, but can't seem to find a club for those of us who use and love the Fender Rumble series of amps. Any interest?

I've been playing at home with my Rumble 30 since late January and it seems to me like this amp puts out a good share for being so small! Originally I was looking at the Rumble 15 but went with the 30 because of the extra input jack, more wattage, and I read online reviews which said the 30 would be good enough to play with a band in a small venue even versus the 15 which didn't have as much bang.

Hope to hear form some fellow Rumble fans soon! :D

So this makes me the founding member, #1? I feel this is a big honor for someone so new on the forum!

I'm in. I have Rumble 500 powering my ampeg 4x10 cabinet. Sounds better than anything else everI had.

I'm surviving on my Air Force Retirement Pay and my job.
Used to have a really good paying job with the government until they fired me for PTSD back in 2013.
I'm making half of what I used to make.
Just pay off what I have left before I start collecting Social Security at 62 yrs of age.

I used to have 13 basses and I'm down to 7 now.
Of course I just added the Epiphone EB-3 that I'll get Monday.
That's the last bass I'm getting.
The basses I have besides the Ibanez are:

Squier Jaguar Transparent Red
Squier Fretless Jazz Bass
LTD B-4E
LTD B-204SM Fretless
Epiphone Beatle Bass
Epiphone Les Paul Cherry Burst

I know but I don't qualify for credit anywhere currently.
Otherwise I probably would,
I had cosigned for one of my daughters a couple years ago when I had a good job and good credit and I got screwed over.
They repossessed her car and my credit went down the drain.
I got the Sweetwater card before my credit went south.

I know, Sam Ash, Musicians Friend have it.
However I don't have a charge card with them.
I have a Sweetwater card so I went with them.
I also purchased and will receive an Epiphone EB-3/Cherry Red on Monday.
I like the low end they have.l
Kind of like the Gibson that Jack Bruce played.
That's a whole lotta woof! But the thing I don't get - you said you like Jack Bruce and Mel Schacher. My recollection is that Bruce's tone wasn't very low-endy but had lots of distortion, and Schacher played a Jazz Bass with a lotta low end and distortion. I could get both sounds from my current Rumble rig, especially the distortion. I hate distortion on bass, but as others have said, the OD in the Rumble is very useful. It's controlled, in a kind of Billy Sheehan way. Seriously though, check out a 500 combo. It might give you exactly what you're after without getting a new axe. Cheap for what it is, too. And loud. As for the head alone, FWIW, I worked a deal with Sam Ash for my 500 head that was about $320. Tough to beat.

Man that sux. no good deed, and all that...

Yeah it hasn't been pleasant.
I cosigned for her because she and her husband had just purchased the car but he died from an overdose.
That happened on a Friday night.
She got a call that following Monday that the car deal had not gone through so I stepped up to the plate.
She was already falling apart from the death of her husband.

I'll have to look at the Rumble 500 head at a later date.

Cool, best of luck to you!

... I am interested to see how the amp performs on Tuesday at a small gig at a small tap-room.

So heres the report. The room was 1600 ft2 with 16' ceilings. The amp was set at 12' o clock gain and about 7 o'clock master. Very minimal. All other dials were flat except the vintage was punched. The bass was well heard!! To be fair this was a very quiet gig: 1 acoustic w/ amp, 1 "double neck" guitar w/ amp, a harp and 2 mics.

Mine won't arrive until the end of September. Maybe we should have a "Waiting for Fender Rumble club" :D

When the version 3's were first announced at Winter NAMM 2014 that is exactly what the Fender Rumble Club became. @eudaimonia of Germany (member #99) was the first to get one in March. By March of 2015 our club had exploded to 400 members and now we are rapidly approaching 500. Global sales of Fender Rumbles remains remarkably strong, and demand continues to outstrip supply. Rumble On!

I'm glad Fender's doing well - they deserve to, with products like the Rumble line. The wait's still a pain, though :meh:
