Fender Rumble Club

I'm good with a soldering iron.
Sounds like really good customer service from Sam Ash, no let me rephrase that, "GREAT SERVICE"
I must admit, the Carvin cabs didn't impress me and they were heavy.

But Hey, You were playing through the 112 cab and that's a great compliment coming from the drummer.
How does that saying go?
"We're not worthy, We're not worthy"
:)
I bought all of my Rumble stuff from Sam Ash in Sarasota Fl. Awesome, they are. I told them about discolored knobs on the head, and rather than just swapping out the knobs, they ordered in an entirely new amp for me!
And my drummer has good ears, not an idiot and really knows The Funk. From him, it is a compliment, indeed. I kind of rely on him for comments regarding my tone. Of all the rigs I've had through this band- and it's been almost every Class D bass amp on the market - the Rumble has been the best. I've more or less lended on the two 112 cabs as my standard, but the 500 combo comes out, too, and it really kicks. If anything, the combo is punchier and deeper than the 112's. Put a 112 under the combo and it's absolute murder.

There you go folks! Open; honest, and unsolicited testimony from a working pro.

You're welcome.
Scratchy pots... meaning no disrespect, but puhleeze... that's a 10 second fix from the guy in the back with a squirt of D5. Mine both have a scratchy master vol and i don't give it a second thought. maybe replace them someday, maybe not. It's no big deal. I have a soldering iron and not afraid to use it.

And remember these Rumbles ALL have a 5-year warranty. I had a couple of cosmetic issues with mine and both Sam Ash and Fender were all over it; Fender even gave me some free stuff for my trouble. great CS!

And if all you know are the carvin cabs, you are in for one hell of a good surprise from the Rumbles. The Carvins that I know are less than forthcoming with the meat. Whereas, my drummer said he thought one of my 112 cabs was the best sounding bass cab he ever heard. That a SINGLE 112, and a drummer saying it. of course, it was me playing, so there's that... :)

Of course it was a drummer saying it, so there's that...

sorry, drummers are just easy targets.

Got my brand new Fender rumble 500 combo yesterday, it replaced my Markbass 121p combo which I had used the past 6 years, the markbass was a great little amp, but I always found myself lacking just a bit in the volume and bass department.

The funny thing is my new Rumble is a much cheaper amp but still beats it hands down in both sound and volume/depth. I am really impressed with this amp, in matter of fact I think its a beast, its light, SUPERLOUD, fat bottom end and really great sounding even when pushed. Also the overdrive-circuit is some of the best OD Ive ever heard for bass.

In my honest and humble opinion these amps are the greatest thing Fender has ever made since the first p and jazz basses, also first fenderproduct that impressed at all, ever!!

When Markbass came out, it was really something new. Lightweight, small, powerful, and.......way, way overpriced. I remember thinking that the price was just stupid-ridiculous. I had one for a while and never got used to the tone. I also agree it was lacking in "bass". They were on the right track though. Fender simply does it better. Lightweight, small, powerful, and priced way, way perfect!

Went out to try the Bassman 500. It felt like a great amp, looked and sounded good, maybe a bit warmer than my 500H.

I am so happy with my 500H and I don't want to loose the portability, so I decided to stick with what I have.

They are both great amps but small size and light weight is more important to me at the moment. The difference in sound I wouldn't hear behind the drums and guitar wall.

Just happened across this thread - I too bought my Fender Rumble (100) from Sam Ash in Sarasota FL - along with my brand-spanking-new-and-lovin-it Ibanez SR-650.

I'm a Guitar Center kinda guy, but Sam Ash had what I was looking for when I was looking for it, and I have to say, they couldn't have been better. I actually purchased the 'clear' SR-650, then felt I had made a mistake and wanted the brown burst. They had one shipped in from another location and swapped it with a smile - and had already given me a deal on the Rumble + SR-650.

Sam Ash are good people. My very limited dealings with them have all been positive.

GRRRRR!!!!!!
Hey Gents, I just got off the phone with Nick from Sweetwater and found out that they won't get the Fender Rumble 115's until Sep 18th.
So I must anxiously await arrival.
I had put them on a "Notify Me When They're In" status but I've changed it to "Ship Them To Me When They Arrive" status.
They'll bill me at that time.
Guess I gotta get used to sleepless nights waiting for the cabs.

You've made an excellent choice. 115 is the best of them all! Sleep well :)

I had my Rumble 100 v3 at practice Sunday. Both guitar players were helping with gear, and noticed (independently) the lightweight. "Wow, that's really light, I thought it was gonna weigh a ton." One of the guys also commented that he liked the tone. I am interested to see how the amp performs on Tuesday at a small gig at a small tap-room.
I'm also interested to see how it performs for you. I use my Rumble 100 v3 in duos and it is exactly what is required. Love it. But had a jam with drummer and guitarist last saturday night and found it lacking slightly in that situation. Had to push it a bit and it lost some of that deep bottom end. Probably playing a bit louder than I would like but drummers can do that to you.

I think that is because the sound quality and tone was so much heavier than the actual weight of the amp that it most surely surprised them. A good thing to be sure. Fender Rumbles are always so much better than anyone thinks they are.

I agree completely. That is why I have the 100 and the 200. If the 200 isn't loud enough for any indoor gig, I don't want to play there anyway! Outdoors, the line out to a huge PA with a soundman is perfect. I use the 100 for small/medium gigs, and home practice. The 200 for anything with a drummer where I want to be filling the room with a layer of lush lows.
