Fender Rumble Club

I hope my post didn't come off wrong at all... I certainly wouldn't take what you said as being negative at all, FirewalZ!! It sounded to me like you might get a Rumble. We like hearing that here. It also sounds like you really like the GK amp you have. I have heard a lot of great things about GK. Glad you got to try a Rumble and liked it.

The "hearing your favorite bass tone from and old classic" describe the tone I love, pretty well. It also described me....:D

Somewhat OT but I'am thinking of sending fender a email telling them to read the threads of the fender rumble club, maybe they got a marketing/tech support guy that can chime in from time to time because of the popularity of the rumble series-Then again who knows? They should know that word of mouth advertisement is strong, for me I only found out about the rumbles from reading TB and you guys with your experiences.Maybe there's someone out there reading our reviews (undercover?). Before I bought my rumbles,I did a lot of reading and trying as many brands as I could with the budget I had. And now I'm one of you guys.Yeah I know, wrong place wrong time,I should've posted this somewhere else-too much time to overthink things when you're retired I guess.

Make no mistake, we are being read by several folks at Fender. Whenever they wish to comment, I am contacted with information to pass along. This isn't very often.

He make good stuff. I like my MDB cover. If I get another cab for my 500, I will get a cover for that, too.
Problem is, I can't figure out why I would need another cab. The 500 combo is already as loud as I need to be.
Somebody help me find a good excuse.
I ordered the 2x10 and the 500 combo at the same time. I couldn't imagine gigging with just the combo. But, after using it both ways, I'm thinking that it's probably not necessary for a lot of my gigs. I was thinking about sending back. But, it makes a super cool looking stack! And, if I didn't have it, I would always wish that I did. I also like the idea of being able to get the full power from the amp. My house is starting to look like a musical equipment store anyway. There's still room for another cab.

Same here. A little less than 2 years ago, my buddy gave me my first bass and said, "buy an amp and learn this, our bass player moved to CA."

The research here and the range of feedback was a big part of me getting my first Rumble. Honestly, I was ignorant of how good of a decision I was making. The fender brand didn't mean anything to me. In less than 2 years, I've had a Rumble 150, v3 200 and now a v3 500 combo. I've just recently started to understand the quality and versatility of the products for my purposes. Which are, basically, quality and usable products for a very enthusiastic and rapidly improving weekend warrior. These things far exceed my talents and it's nice to have access to products many "local" professionals use. I've learned enough to know that even as I progress, these products will still meet my needs for a LONG time.

Rumble 500v3 combo needs:
Better soft-on (no pop)
Speakon connector for speaker-out.
Fender needs to sell a speaker cable with an insulated jacket.
Cover accessory
Higher quality hex nut on input jack.
Better training for resellers.
An actual DI

An on board tuner and a footswitch that controls all 4 buttons plus a mute.

A mute.

All those things are nice, but they also come at a cost.
I am very pleased that Fender offers this model line which is stripped down without being very stripped down at all. The feature set of the Rumbles is outstanding. The price is an incredible value. A brand that stands behind their products: priceless.

By the way, every single one of these issues -- minus the on-board tuner -- is in the Bassman 500 head.

Not at all--my earlier question regarding the 410 was heading in that direction. I was trying to imagine a Bassman 500 head on top of two 410's.

The 4x10 cab looks wonderful. If you're going for a R500 head, or B500 head, go for it.

If you're wanting a Rumble 500C, you want the 2x10 instead to avoid a volume/power mismatch. If you plug the 500C into a 8ohm 410, you end up driving 2 speakers with 250w and the other 4 speakers with 250w. The 4 will be quieter than the 2 and there will be an audible (by most people) volume/timbre mismatch.

There are several Rumble Club members that have done exactly that and reality is that a Rumble 500 combo on top of a Rumble 410 cabinet works quite well despite what the the math may add up to. The whole is always something other than the some of its parts. In this case it is more.

My band rents at an hourly rehearsal studio that has gear in each room, which comes in handy when you are running late. Anyway, the room we rent has a GK Backline 600 with a GK 410 8ohm cab. I leave my Rumble 210 at home and plug the 500 Combo into the 410 cab, sounds pretty good. While the GK cab isn’t a Fender, it’s still good enough for rehearsal LOL
