Fender Rumble Club

Nah, that's kind of ridiculous. It can be designed any way. just because it's been done one way does not mean it has to be done that way forever. And as I said, I have had combos in the past that had this feature. I could add it tomorrow if i didn't want to void the warranty.
Anything can be designed in all sorts of ways. And while we may have our private wishes about how something should be designed, that decision will rest with the designer who balances a lot of different factors, which may or may not be in accord with those wishes. Maybe it would be too complicated to add that feature, maybe it would make it too difficult to hit a certain price point. Who knows? But while certainly not impossible, the fact that it's not a common feature might be an indication that too few users want it, need it, or are willing to pay for it.

I'm about to mod my 500 combo to allow a head to hook up to it. As much as I like the sound of the rumble 500 my Hartke LH500 head IMO is leagues ahead on a clean tone in a live setting. Since I already have a rumble 210 extension and a 210 500 combo I figure the weight savings compared to the 410 cab I use now will be welcomed.

If you do, please make a mod thread. I figure this could be an interesting read.

I seem to remember that 'someone' had built a combo 'sometime' where the amp unit could be pulled out of the combo in the manner that some car radios were able to be pulled from the dash to deter thieves.

I'm torn.....I want one of these in a combo but not sure if I should go with the 15" or 2x 10" config. Any peer pressure to go one way or another will be appreciated.
That's easy enough! They both have the very same front end. They both have B&O ICE D-Class Power Sections. They both have powered extension speaker output jacks. They both have custom designed Eminence ceramic-ferrite driven woofers. They both come in the same size cabinet and ship in the identical box. The Rumble 500 is a couple of pounds heavier.

Honestly assess your wattage & volume needs. If this is primarily for personal practice; rehearsals & jams, and your typical bar gig or private party the Rumble 200 is plenty.

If you need more than that then the Rumble 500 is your huckleberry.

Take your favorite bass and audition them back-to-back and just pick the one that you like best. Also keep in mind that the Rumble 200 is actually 140 watts into the internal 8 ohm 15" woofer and the Rumble 500 is 350 watts into the twin internal 10" woofers.

210 is the only way to get 500 watts in a combo. If you get a 500 head you can do anything you want. IMO the 500 combo is the best bang for the buck, but the head offers the most versatility.

Maybe so. Fender certainly knows their market better than i do. I can only speak fr myself when I say I'd like that feature. Doesn't mean I'll get it. :-)

As I recall, that was a guy on here (not from Fender ;-) ) who went crazy with photoshop. It can be done, though. But not by me. :=)

Talking seriously for a moment, even if Linnin was a fender rep, so what? seems like a plus to me. over on the GK forum they have GK peeps all the time chiming in, which is super helpful. even Robert Gallien himself. yes, they disclose, but even if they didn't, so what? good info is good info. the one thing I don't want to do is scare any Fender peeps off of here. they're been very good to me personally, and very good to all of us just in bringing the V3 Rumbles to market.I hope Fender is on here. To wit:

I could use a 212 cab laid out in a straight-line array (not staggered as is the current 210). My address is:...

The "so what" would be:
that it's not disclosed in his profile; and, if he were; he would need to comply with commercial user guidelines.
As he's said he is not commercially affiliated with FMIC; I see no problems here.

New Rumble 100 today from a local shop, paid $421 Can. inc. taxes. Nice amp.

I needed an amp to use for low volume gigs where I can't run directly through the PA (I normally do not use an amp). I considered the 200 but it is quite a bit heavier and I won't need the power, anything bigger and I will be running through a PA anyways.

22 lbs... shakes head in disbelief... 22 lbs...

I will be looking into mods to control the slightly boomy bass I think but will need to get it dialed in first and see if it is OK the way it is.

You may find that the eq section really does work wonders on the 100. Turn off the vintage if you have it on and that will reduce the low end a lot. I like it on, but may try it tomorrow night with it off sometimes. It really is a great amp. Did you notice that it is only 22 pounds. I like to hand it to people when I play just to see the looks on their faces.

I'm ready to pull the trigger on a new Rumble 500 combo (currently approx $660 here in the UK). However there are rumours of something new at winter NAMM which may lead to a price drop?
Can any of you guys stateside clue me in?
